Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
This was wonderful!!! I made a few changes based on others' comments; 1 cup white/cup brown sugar and cut oil to 3/4 cup...didn't measure spices exactly either. I also sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on the sides of my loaf pans and on top of the batter...this was a great base recipe and tastes delicious!!! Thank you :)

Fruity Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2001
This was delicious!! I have to admit the ingredients sounded a little wierd, but this really tastes great! My husband never guessed there was soda in the marinade. I made this in the oven instead of on the grill and it came out just perfect. Thanks for a terrific recipe!

Rhinelander Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
Very good soup! I added some extra veggies and skipped the salt since the bacon is already salty, and it was just fine. Very easy to make and a great comfort food.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
This was so good! It was definitely a restaurant type dish. I pounded my chicken breasts really thin for quicker cooking, used a little extra bourbon, less butter in the sauce, and fried in a mix of oil/butter rather than the clarified butter just a little quicker I think. DELICIOUS! and definitelty worth it!

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
This was the first time I have ever made bread pudding, but I've always enjoyed it. This was a great basic recipe. I used a cinnimon apple raisin bread so I cut back on the sugar a bit I also added some extra cinnamon and rasins. I served with an apricot sauce and fresh whipped cream...Delicious! Next time, and there will be a next time! I am going to try the sauce because that sunds really yummy too!!

Anisette Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2002
These cookies are great!! My grandmother used to make these every Christmas when I was a child. She used to leave out the anisette and use the orange juice and orange extract instead, which are just as good. All the knot tying is a little time consuming, but these cookies are worth it. They look great if you ice them and put colored sprinkles on them and they keep well too!

Italian Rice Balls

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
These are so good I could eat them every day!! This is a good basic recipe and you can add stuff to it like mozzerella, peas, ground beef whatever you like with no problem. It helps to use arborio rice because it's stickier and helps the balls stay together better.
