About this Cook
Busy mom always looking for new things to cook or bake for my family!
My favorite things to cook
I love making family recipes, italian food and all different kinds of soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother was an incredibly good cook. Everything she made was delicious. Unfortunately there she did not write down any recipes so I have spent many years trying to recreate my favorites. It can be trying but fun too :)
My cooking triumphs
There have been many.
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few of these too!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches
This is really good! I am a Jersey girl lol so I am not familiar with the shredded beef sandwiches of Chicago fame but we really enjoyed these! I just used the broth instead of water and didn't really use much other seasoning except for the dressing packet. I think this is a pretty flexibly recipe. I fried up some peppers and onions and served on toasted rolls. I have made these 3 times already. Very tasty and you can't beat how easy they are to make in the crockpot...highly recommend

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread
This was wonderful!!! I made a few changes based on others' comments; 1 cup white/cup brown sugar and cut oil to 3/4 cup...didn't measure spices exactly either. I also sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on the sides of my loaf pans and on top of the batter...this was a great base recipe and tastes delicious!!! Thank you :)
