Gingered Pork Chops in Orange Juice

Excellent recipe! Three changes, didn't use the flour, used sage instead of ginger, and deglazed the pan with Grand Marnier instead of the brandy. Definitely a keeper.

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Wow, this one is a keeper! Try topping the dish with the bacon AFTER plating so that it retains its crunchy texture. I actually added chicken because I'm such a carnivore. ;o)

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Made this for a kid's birthday party and was a huge hit with both kids and adults alike. I put the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a ziploc, sprayed the tortilla pieces with Pam, and then baked on a cookie sheet. Will definitely make again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oh my God! You will love this cookie if you like a cookie whose texture is soft and has just enough sweetness and a little crunch around the edges. Comes out perfect every time. I'm on my third batch now in less than two weeks.

I followed the other suggestions to do half brown and half white sugar and the cookies were kind of flat, but chewy in the center. Definitely better after a few hours rather than right out of the oven.

Creme Brulee French Toast

This recipe is OUTSTANDING! One way to cut down on the calories is to use just 1 tsp of corn syrup and reduce the brown sugar to 3/4 cup. We also used a tad more Grand Marnier! By all means, turn the toast after 20 minutes to get a texture on the bottom and why not broil for the last few seconds to allow the sugars to carmelize?? These few altercations still yielded a deliciously sweet french toast which needed no additional syrup. Try this one this weekend!

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

The blue cheese in this dish absolutley overpowered the chicken. My guests ate it, but no one asked for more. Perhaps halving the cheese would make a difference.

Apple Bavarian Torte

This dessert is awesome! I followed another's advice and used canned pears instead of the apples, and I doubled the filling. One other change is that i used 1.5X the crust. Delicious! Everyone loved it. One problem that I ran into is the cooking time. At the end of the 25 minutes, mine was still quite jiggly in the middle. I ended up doubling the time the pie had to bake, perhaps because of the increased mass. Definitely try this one, you won't be disappointed.

These cookies were delicious! I added a little more peanut butter than called for and mmmmm. Make sure not to overbake!!!! I ruined a whole dozen in just 1 1/2 minutes.

Grilled Salmon with Habanero-Lime Butter

very good. The salmon needs to be marinated longer to really retain the flavor though. Also, I only added about half the recommended amount of habanero peppers because I was afraid it would be too spicy. Turned out great.

This is the perfect recipe for apple crisp. I would recommend doubling the crumb topping if you like a big crunch. I also added even more oatmeal.
