I am 21, have a son, and am married to the greatest guy. Grew up in TN with lots of family. Currently living in AR. I love to cook just about anything and everything. My favorite family cooking traditions would have to be the family get togethers where everyone brings something. My dad always brings a ham and his potato salad. My aunt Teresa her jalepeno cornbread. So on and so forth. My cooking triumphs would have to be my swiss steak that my husband absolutely loves. And my mustard-garlic pork chops. I once tried to bake a low carb sponge cake ou t of the Mr. Phil recipe book. It called for a lot of egg whites. Well when it was done it tasted so much like eggs that I told my mother-in-law that we should cook bacon with it. We just decided to throw it away so she threw it outside for the birds and squirrels. They didn't touch it. It wouldn't dissolve or break down or anything. We started joking about making a new type of insulation with it. All in all I can honestly say I will never try that recipe again.
