Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I have been making this for years and years...you do have to watch it to prevent burning because all microwaves are different. I have used many different types of nuts in this recipe; mixed, macadamias, cashews, etc.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
I used the precooked bacon available, and they turned out perfectly. Just keep a close eye on them so they don't burn, don't take long to cook.

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
Egg rolls are my favorite chinese-type food.....I loved them. Not too difficult to make either...except you better know how to make chinese barbecued or roasted pork...which isn't difficult either! :0)

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
We are having this tonight for supper...it is delicious. Instead of the spinach (I love spinach, but sometimes the taste is too strong in certain things, in my opinion) so I substitute fresh Kale...it's that really curly stuff you sometimes see on your plate as garnish in a restaurant. But it is so very good for you, full of vitamins, etc.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was delicious. I use "Better than Bouillon" which is in the soup section of the store and comes in a jar and is more of a paste. I use the chicken flavor (comes in low salt form too) and I find it tastes so much better than the granules or cubes.

White Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
But I LOVE hamburger gravy!!!! :0) (To those who acted like that was a bad thing...shame on you! JK! This was kind of more like a hamburger stroganoff (which I like), I added more garlic and it tasted pretty darn good.

Oh yes, we have these sandwiches every year..one of my must buys on Thanksgiving grocery list are good sandwich rolls. I like the idea of the raspberry chipotle as one other reviewer mentioned. Will try that soon.

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
You really need to use a HEAVY pan for cooking this,it will definitely burn (any candy will) if you use a flimsy pan...also you will burn if you don't stir constantly. Nice change from chocolate. (still love chocolate best, though!) :0)

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Was intrigued by one negative review...this recipe doesn't say to "cut up" the chicken...! Hmmmm....Otherwise, this is a great way to cook a whole bird on a warm day when you don't want to heat up your kitchen....stays moist.

Slow Cooker Pork Cacciatore

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
I find pork chops with the bone in don't dry out as much as boneless...bone gives more flavor it seems. Delicious.

Mexican Veggies with Queso

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I roasted my vegetables instead, drizzled with a bit of olive oil for about 20 min., delicious. Hardo to find the queso asadero, but I used another mexican cheese, and it was delicious.

The Best Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I will never buy canned enchilada sauce again....I used dried "California chiles" that I purchased from the grocery store where they sell mexican spices in the cellophane bags.....I changed nothing else in this recipe and the taste is incredible....I'm sold! Our jack cheese enchiladas never tasted better. THE WINNER!!! (imao) :0)

Grandma's Fresh Apple Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
I followed recipe exactly, I measured my pan to make sure it was the correct size. Baked according to a tooth pick coming out clean....after it cooled I was shocked to see it had collapsed and was a gooey mess. Not happy, waste of ingrediants and my time.
