Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Loved this recipe! My family raved over it tonight as they ate all up. I doubled the meatball recipe and made eight large meatballs. I also used fresh basil and parsley from the garden in the sauce. Also added about 1/4 tsp of baking soda to the sauce before putting in the meatballs. My father-in-law who is from Croatia and whose mother is from Italy taught me to do this 20 years ago when he first taught me how to make his mother's spaghetti sauce. It cuts the acidity and gives the sauce a smoother taste. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
