About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing probably is my stir fry. Nothing much to it, just teriyaki marinated chicken breasts slice into strips, cooked then add broccoli, red, green, yellow pepper, carrot shreds, and toss it all up! Of course, serve over rice.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When the family gets together, it's still mainly the mom's that do all of the cooking. I get assigned something like, deviled eggs. (Which still turn out awesome)
My cooking triumphs
I work with DA's. (In my state, they're Commonwealth's Attorneys) Well, when big bad prosecutors are swooning over your home-made zucchini bread, you've done something right. :-)
My cooking tragedies
Making my first home-made dumplings for Chicken and Dumplings, I hadn't taken off my shoes from work and flour ended up on the floor from where I was rolling them out, I was so excited to check on them in the pot that I skipped across the floor and SLIP, busted my butt on the kitchen floor.

Broccoli in Roast Chicken Drippings
I needed a side dish in a crunch and felt like making a roast chicken anyway. I was skeptical, but boy, was it good! My boyfriend said "Once again, you've outdone yourself."

Scalloped Corn and Broccoli
I made this for my parents and boyfriend, the first bite, my dad went "this is wonderful!" and it was a winner with all. I used less sugar than required, only used about 1 tablespoon. Was skeptic about cheese and corn together, but the flavor was great.
