German Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
This was a delicious recipe!! I seasoned my chops with black and white pepper, garlic powder and kosher salt and then pan seared them and placed in slow cooker. I reduced the brown sugar to make it healthier to about 1/4c and it was still sweet enough. I suppose you can even omit and sub applesauce. Thus the reason for only four stars. This recipe is a keeper!!

Basic Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This was the first homemade cheesecake that I ever made and it came out perfect the first time I made it!!! Appearance was perfect and the texture was too!! I have to say that this was one of the best cheesecakes that I ever tasted! I made this for the Superbowl and everyone loved it!! There was only one small piece left.

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I've made these a few times and I think they are wonderful. The combination of flavor and different textures is what makes this dis unique. I used the Fiesta Ranch seasoning packet instead and it really added so much more flavor.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
I thought this soup was delicious, especially the next day! I bumped the serving size to 5 servings but I would suggest a little less basil. It added nice flavor but I think it was a bit too over powering. I also would suggest more bacon and whatever is left from it won't go to waste I'm sure. I also used a Bermuda sweet onion because that's what I had on hand and added green onion as a garnish and that made the soup! Overall....a really quick and easy, flavorful soup to make. I would make this again!!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
For someone that doesn't bake very often this recipe was delicious. I have made this bread several times, even without nuts and everybody loved it. I thought I had done something wrong the first time because the inside of the bread was dark in color compared to the light color you would normaly see in bananna bread. After making it several times, the consistancy and color was the same so I assumed I made it right from the start.

D' Best Chicken N' Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I am the proof that this recipe is a keeper. I moved from NY to NC and never, ever made chicken and dumplings before. I gave it a try hoping it wasn't a flop. After trying it and liking it I recruited my southern friends to try and low and behold, they all loved it. PS. One friend said "it doesn't taste like a woman from NY made this".

Hearty Pasta Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This soup is DELICIOUS! A hearty main course soup served with garlic toast was all we needed for our bellies. We used regular Italian sausage links instead of ground sausage.

Creamy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
I thought this was a delicious recipe. Great flavor for a fast meal. I did make one change, I browned the chicken on a medium high heat for added flavor and color and then served with mashed potatos and green beans.
