Nice texture and combination. Everyone that tried this loved it! Used fresh jalapenos instead of canned.

Peanut Butter Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Love this recipe! It's quick and delicious... even quicker if you slice your red cabbage and green onions ahead of time, and use chicken tenders. I've made it both on the grill and stove, and it comes out great either way. It's good with rice too, but it just seems to pair up really well with the red cabbage.

Cayenne Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
WOW, these are good! Love pretzels, but have a hard time finding pretzels that are light and crunchy. But this combination of seasoning and baking them crisps them up, and makes them taste great. Added some cheez crackers, but then made 2 batches, one with the cayenne and one without. Both had a nice flavor and texture. Will definitely be making this one regularly. Made the mixing easier to just throw it all in a huge ziploc bag, mixing it around until it was all coated well, and then dumping it on the baking sheet.

Vinegar Based BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Great recipe and couldn't be any easier to throw together. This type of sauce has a pretty strong vinegar taste, so it will taste pretty strong if you use it as a dip or pour-on type of sauce vs cooking the meat in it.

Grilled Cabbage II

I liked this...especially the convenience of cooking it on the grill while you're already grilling. But will try it with a few more spices next time.

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
These are a good, quick 'n easy side. Great with soup! I cut hot dogs in half lengthwise, sliced into 'half-moons', and put them into the cups before the batter, as others suggested. Will be using this recipe with other types of meat too.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
Great recipe, thanks! This was the most tender and moist turkey we have had. Be careful not to let it overcook though, it cooks fast! My 12lb, unstuffed turkey was done in about 2-1/2 hours. As a personal preference...I'd rather do the browning at the beginning of the cooking time, then cover for the rest of the cooking time. So that the turkey can be taken out as soon as it's done, instead of taking a chance on it drying out while you're waiting for it to brown.

It was great to be able to fix this in the crockpot instead of the oven. Very moist, tasty and versatile as to the vegetables you may want to add.
