I'm a strong Catholic, French Canadian and Austrian background, musician (singer), love my friends and family (3 younger bros and parents and Opa and Aunt Stef) to death, love to dance (especially swing). I have a huge sweet tooth - esp dark or mint chocolate - and love comfort foods :)

My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom used to make us homemade decorated cakes for our birthdays which I loved. We also have some family favourites: chili, schnitzels, pâté au poulet, spaghetti, meatball subs, homemade chicken and vegetable soup, barbecued honey dijon chicken...I miss my grandmothers' cooking (they both passed away last spring): Austrian desserts and canned fruit from my Oma, tourtière and roast beef from my Grandmaman...yum!
My cooking triumphs
-Kidney bean, ground beef, bacon, tomato sauce and vegetable stew for 40 people!
-my first ham for a huge Easter dinner, with a friend.
-Teena's Spicy Pesto Chicken and Pasta from this site for my family (New year's Eve) and for my boyfriend (Valentine's Day.)
-Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake from this site for a Thanksgiving I hosted
-homemade tiramisù using a combo of two recipes from this site for(boyfriend's birthday.)
My cooking tragedies
-overcooked stuffed peppers
-boiling water for macaroni and turning on the wrong element which set some Tupperware on fire and filled my one room apartment and the whole hallway with smoke within 2 minutes!
