Tuna Noodle Casserole III

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I did a few things different. I added frozen peas with the layers and used shredded cheddar instead of american cheese. I also mixed in some sourcream and milk with the cream of mushroom soup. Overall, very yummy and easy to make. Thanks!!

This is so good. I don't even make regular spaghetti anymore! It has a wonderful creamy texture, just try it- you'll like it.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
These are so good. I have tried other recipes for granola bars, but this one is a keeper! I did as another had suggested and added applesauce, approximately 1/2 cup. I did put the whole bag of Chocolate chips in and I added cherry flavored Craisens. WOW! These are awesome. (oh, I also didn't have any honey, so I used a little maple syrup)But, these sure are good. More of a dessert than a healthy snack (at least the way that I did it)

Pecan Pie Bars II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2006
Very good, followed the directions exactly and turned out great. Made them for Thanksgiving instead of the Pecan Pie. Definitely served more than a pie would have.

Easy Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
Very good. Has the consistency of a brownie, only in a cookie. Next time I'll try them with yellow cake mix and maybe a combo of peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. This is a very versatile recipe, just change your flavor of cake mix and add what ever kind of chips you want. It's a keeper! (I did have to add just a splash of water when mixing.)

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
This was very good and very easy! The recipe doesn't say how to take the potatoes out of the the skin (mash or cut up) So, I peeled the potatoes after they were microwaved, and then cut them into chunks. They do cook down in the soup. I also didn't have any cheddar cheese on hand, so I used about 8 oz. of Velvetta (processed cheese spread). And it worked very well. I did throw all the bacon (I used real bacon cut up) into the soup. Just remember to cook the soup on a very low heat, and don't let it boil (it can cause the cheese and milk to seperate). It does thicken very quickly. Very good recipe, thanks!

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
Very good dessert. It is a thin cake, for a normal cake thickness I would recomend doubling the recipe. By using chocolate chips there is no need for icing. I did add 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. And I used baking soda not baking powder. All homemade cakes call for baking soda, it works much better than baking powder as a leavener. For example, I made a homeade chocolate cake and by accident used baking powder instead of baking soda, and it came out very thick like brownies. When I made that same cake again, I used baking soda and it was a cake consistancy.

wow! wonderful flavor. I was in a hurry and was only able to marinade for 30 minutes, but still turned out awesome! I think that this may be our new favorite marinade for steak.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
Wow!! Super good, and spicy. I cooked mine on low for 11 hours, it basically shredded itself. Taste awesome with provolone cheese on a toasted roll. Next time to cut back on the spice, I think I may drain the juice out of the pepperoncini into a measureing cup, and then replace it with water or beef broth.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
Pretty good and cheesy. But for some wierd reason when I mixed my garlic with the lemon juice the garlic turned a blueish color. It reminded me of blue cheese, I had to pick the garlic out when I served it.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
We really liked this recipe. I had to substitute the half and half with milk. And if you do that I would suggest adding a little bit extra milk, to make the sauce a little thinner. I would also suggest covering the baking dish with aluminum foil while cooking to avoid the mozz. from turning brown and hard. I too used frozen spinach instead of the canned. We served it atop rotini, and it was yummy. Very simple, very easy. Thanks!

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2007
I changed a few things. I used cheddar cheese on top, and crushed cheez-its crackers. Instead of peas and carrots I used chopped broccoli. It was ok. Honestly the sauce is very similar to what I use for chicken enchiladas. So, next time I'll use rice instead of the noodles, and add corn and black beans, then it'll be a chicken enchillada casserole! Overall, not bad, especially when you are low on gorceries, because these are the ingredients that we seem to always have around!

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Very Good! This is exactly what I was looking for. I've always just made my mac and cheese from scratch, with no recipe, I just winged it. So, this time I decided to look for something very similar to what I typically make. This recipe calls for no spices, so I added some salt, pepper, and onion powder. Thanks!!

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Excellent! Very very good. I didn't have any pecans, so I followed some others advice and added a handful of chocolate chips with the brown sugar and cinnamon- it was great! Next time I'll make sure that I have pecans and I'll still add the chocolate chips. Thanks for the great recipe!
