These are the most delicious stuffed bell peppers I have ever had. I took the advise of some of the other reviewers and used a pasta sauce in place of the soup; canned diced tomatoes with green chilies; pre-cooked brown rice in beef broth; added more Worcestershire sauce, onion, 4 cloves fresh garlic minced, and used 1-1/2 lbs. gr. beef (that's what I had); used jack cheese (that's what I had); greased the baking dish with shortening and didn't add liquid. I also cut the peppers (red, yellow, orange and green) lengthwise, seeded them, and put 3 halves staggered on a microwave safe plate, then microwaved them for 4 minutes before stuffing. I put a small slice of cheese inside the peppers before stuffing them and drizzled ketchup on top then put another slice of cheese on top before baking. Everyone loved them. Thank you Suzanne and thanks to the other reviews for their suggestions too! This will be my go-to pepper recipe. This filling stuffed 9 whole peppers.
