Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Great Key Lime Pie! It reminded me of cheesecake, only very easy. The only other comment I have is that I never saw the tiny bubbles rise to the surface. I baked it for 13 minutes then took it out so it wouldn't brown. Topped with whipped cream was really good. Thanks Ann!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
These are the most delicious stuffed bell peppers I have ever had. I took the advise of some of the other reviewers and used a pasta sauce in place of the soup; canned diced tomatoes with green chilies; pre-cooked brown rice in beef broth; added more Worcestershire sauce, onion, 4 cloves fresh garlic minced, and used 1-1/2 lbs. gr. beef (that's what I had); used jack cheese (that's what I had); greased the baking dish with shortening and didn't add liquid. I also cut the peppers (red, yellow, orange and green) lengthwise, seeded them, and put 3 halves staggered on a microwave safe plate, then microwaved them for 4 minutes before stuffing. I put a small slice of cheese inside the peppers before stuffing them and drizzled ketchup on top then put another slice of cheese on top before baking. Everyone loved them. Thank you Suzanne and thanks to the other reviews for their suggestions too! This will be my go-to pepper recipe. This filling stuffed 9 whole peppers.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
This soup is delicious! The rating is true. My changes: I added sliced kielbasa in place of the spinach (this was in addition to the Italian sausage) and used the "Better Than Bouillon Beef" (in a jar) using the same ounces in water as the canned beef broth - instead of the beef broth. Really good. I made it for a class at my church and everyone loved it!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
OMG!!!! THIS IS TRULY THE BEST! Better than the chocolate blackout cakes at Costco and restaurants! You can't go wrong with this recipe for chocolate lovers. I made it for the first time today, following the recipe exactly and it was a smashing success at my church! The cake is deliciously moist and rich - you don't need any frosting or glaze with it. I was a little apprehensive about leaving the cake in the pan for 1-1/2 hours after taking out of the oven - but it came out of the pan perfectly! Just follow the directions and you'll be very happy!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
This is delicious! I used fresh french bread sliced diagonally about 1-1/4 " thick I used my thumb as a gauge from end of nail to knuckle). Let the bread soak up all of the batter before frying. I pan fried it in butter and served with real maple syrup. Like another reviewer, I added, oh, maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract with the vanilla (for 3 servings). I also added a bit more sugar. This is a wonderful recipe that I enjoyed making and eating. Oh yes, and my husband said he could smell it outside of the house and it smelled yummy!
