Green Chili Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Four stars only because I made significant changes. Great base recipe which gave the an idea for how to use the wild turkey in my freezer that I shot in the spring. Our burgers turned out FANTASTIC! I used an electric grinder and ground up 1/2 of the turkey breast (2-3 pounds), then also ground about 3/4 pound of bacon ends and pieces to mix with the turkey. Added cumin as others suggested and used fresh pressed garlic. With the addition of the bacon the burgers held together very well on the grill and stayed nice and juicy. After grilling 5 minutes per side, I topped them with swiss cheese and served on a toasted hard roll with my guacamole, lettuce and homemade salsa. This was my version of a Green Chili Bacon and Swiss Grilled Turkey Burger! YUM!

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Fantastic. Emersion blenders are great tools for making this type of soup creamy. I always put my own touches on a dish, and this was no exception. It is always helpful to have a great base recipe to help get it started and doesn't take away from my rating at all.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
Excellent recipe. For others that did not have enough liquid, marinating the meat and using all of the butter will result in plenty of liquid. Used fresh mushrooms and 1/2 lite sour cream and 1/2 cream cheese. Also used a yellow onion.

Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
This was FABULOUS! It was very quick to throw together and pop into the oven. Due to not having all the ingredients I did have to substitute. One, I had to double the recipe for my large family. Two, I didn't have any potatoes so I had to rummage through the freezer. I came up with a bag of tater tots and a bag of Fire Roasted Veggies from Schwan's. I thawed those put them in the bottom of the pan, then followed the rest of the directions, with the exception of fresh cracked pepper on the pork chops before pouring the soup! The fire roasted veggies added some great flavors to the dish and my husband thought the leftovers were even better the next day! THANK YOU!!
