I love to cook, I especially love to bake anything from cookies to cake to quick breads. I love to experiment, but it doesn't always turn out. What's the fun in it if you always play by the rules?
My favorite things to cook
My alltime favorite thing to cook is chocolate chips cookies, but I really like to bake any kind of cookies. I also really enjoy making traditional italian food from my Nana and Papas dictated recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite memories from my childhood is making cookies with my mom, this must be why I love making cookies so much. I also have always enjoyed being in the kitchen with my Nana and being able to learn.
My cooking triumphs
Making Christmas Eve dinner and Chirstmas Day dinner for my family. Christmas Eve was a feist of homemade raviolis with homemade cannolis (I even made the shells myself). Christmas day was smoked turkey AND prime rib (because my husband insisted) with all of the fixings, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, cranberries, etc.
My cooking tragedies
I think I have had more tragedies than triumphs! I think it is because of my lack of following directions! I would say my worst of all was an Asain dish that I tried out of a diet cookbook, it was so bad I just had to throw it all out!
