Pebber Nodder (Danish Christmas Cookies)

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
Clearly a 'keeper'! This is a wonderful recipe of the traditional Danish cookie. It's not as sweet as the typical American cookie, where I normally have to reduce some of the sugar called for. Be warned: ground cardamon is expensive (about $10 for a regular size bottle). But its flavour is subtle and balances well with the cinnamon.

Japanese Peanut Salad Dressing

Good nutty flavour. Be careful when toasting the sesame seeds because they burn easily. This is a keeper -- I made it for our party on New Year's Eve and it was well received.

Chicken with Asparagus and Roasted Red Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
Great dish! I did season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before hand and then browned the chicken before adding the broth and rest of ingredients. Also, I bought FRESH roasted red peppers from the pesto bar at our local supermarket. More expensive but worth it. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
As good as a sweet potato dish could ever get. Usually never a hit, this dish got quite a good reception, even though I left it in the oven for a little too long and the sweet potatoes got overcooked (forgot that they were already fully cooked when dish is put together). Streusel topping a little hard to spread so maybe decreasing the melted butter would help? Don't bake until ready to eat because reheating doesn't work on this dish. Thanks for a sharing a good obligatory sweet potato dish -- it's a keeper!

Baked Pineapple

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This dish was a hit at our Thanksgiving table. Guests even asked for the recipe. But I 'tweaked' the recipe a little: first melt the butter in a saucepan and cook the flour in the butter to form a roux. Then stir cheese into hot roux.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
The verdict is in: it's a keeper! First Thanksgiving my guests have enjoy the stuffing. Stuffed it into the bird is better than baked on its own (because of the big portion, I ended up having to do it both ways). Thanks for sharing the recipe!
