Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
LOVE these muffins! I've made them several times using the original recipe and my own variations/additions. You can't mess these up! I also only use regular milk in the recipe since I don't keep buttermilk on hand and don't want to mess with creating the substitute, and they're still great!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
These are awesome! I actually prefer them to brownies. I make a batch of the dough and keep it in the fridge, baking them off a few at a time so we always have fresh cookies!

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I thought this pie was excellent! The consistency was soft and fudgey, like a good chocolate pie should be! Reminds me of the one my granny used to make. I had to bake quite a bit longer than 40 minutes, but it was worth the wait - and even better the second day!

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
This was a quick and easy cake - but didn't have the prominent pumpkin flavor I was looking for. I used 1/2 c. veg oil and 1/2 c. applesauce (will probably use even more applesauce and less oil next time) and also added pumpkin pie spice. Baked in a stone bundt pan for 60 minutes. Was a little more dense than I would have liked (more like a bread), but good served with cream cheese frosting.

These are unbelieveably easy and taste wonderful! Just the right combination of sweet and salty. Great alternative to traditional desserts.

Margaret's Southern Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
I used Splenda and shouldn't have. Chocolate pie is supposed to be sweet and would have been with real sugar! I added some chocolate chips for flavor, reduced the egg yolk to 2 and my husband liked it, but next time I'll sacrifice the calories for flavor!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2005
This was excellent! I used beef bouillon in the cup of water and added a can of cream of mushroom soup. you don't even need a knife to cut it! This will definately be my new pot roast recipe.
