Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
These rolls are as close to a Cinnabon can be! The brown sugar and cinnamon make the filling nice and gooey. I followed the recipe's ingredients list exactly, but not the directions. I used my Kitchenaid to mix and pre-knead the dough, then kneaded it by hand and let it rise until doubled. Filled and sliced and put into pan in the fridge until next morning; left at room temp about 30 mins and then baked. The rolls came out great; definitely made for a great breakfast and not much work in the morning. Thanks, Marsha!

Ultimate Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
This was fantastic. I was a little hesitant to try it because of the warm avocados, but it was was delightful. I definitely will made again. This dish will become one of our camping dishes, too, as it will be easy to fix with simple ingredients.

Lemon Rosemary Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I use the bbq grill. Double wrap the fish in foil, 10 minutes per side. I think the flavor is better with butter, rather than olive oil. I also top the fish with the lemon slices first, then rosemary sprigs; everything comes off cleanly with no little rosemary leaves clinging to the fish. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Korean Salad with Sesame Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
I served this with the funinthesun's Korean BBQ Short Ribs, it was perfect! I only used about 1 tsp of red pepper flakes, and it was mildly spicy. Our dinner guests were blown away by how good it was. Definitely a keeper! funinthesun: keep the recipes coming, thanks.

Korean BBQ Short Ribs (Gal-Bi)

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Absolutely delicious! I added sliced green onions to the marinade, even for the ribs. Served this to a culinary arts teacher and a man who is a very picky eater--he ate several servings and she took the recipe to share with her class. Give it a try, it is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Chicken Chimichangas with Green Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Awesome recipe! I used jalapeno stuffed green olives and added fresh cilantro to the green sauce. Followed twistedsister's suggestion and baked them.I sprayed with PAM in place of cooking oil, they turned out crispy and re-heated okay the next day. This is a definite keeper. Am making it tomorrow for the vegetarian daughter and her husband; they are getting black beans in theirs and I am going to try cheddar cheese soup in place of cream of chicken and hope the color is not too weird. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
My husband loved this one and I thought it was very good. I did not use crumbled tomato-basil feta, had the block type which I sliced to fit the pounded chicken breasts. Like other reviewers, I dipped the chicken in beaten egg, then Panko, and drizzled with butter before baking. The chicken took about 40 minutes. Definitely will make this one again and might add some sundried tomatoes.

Spinach, Egg, and Pancetta with Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
We liked this very much. I used bacon instead of pancetta. I did have to use some of the pasta water. Next time, I am going to add sundried tomatoes to see if that kicks up the flavors. This will become one of our camping dishes-just 2 pots and it is a complete meal. Thanks for the recipe.

Mushroom Crusted Ham and Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
This was great! I could not find herb-garlic flavored cream cheese, I substituted a 6 ounce container of Alouette cheese spread. Will try cooked bacon instead of ham next time. Definitely a keeper.

Cream Cheese Chicken

I love this dish. It is quick and easy to put together. I had no problems with filling and rolling the flattened breasts. I want to try Annie's suggestion of using artichoke hearts, too.

Great meal or side dish. I have vegetarians in my family, this works well for them. I cut the asparagus into bite size pieces before steaming them. Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
These "burgers" are wonderful and I make them often. Great for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I serve them with whole grain buns and pesto mayonnaise: just stir some prepared pesto into mayonnaise. I think it adds a nice taste to the sandwich.
