About this Cook
I'm a 21 year old dietetic student. I run cross country and track in college. I love coming home from running and cooking a big meal. It relaxes me.
My favorite things to cook
I love experimenting with all differet kinds of recipes. I love making power bars and snack foods as well as big meals. I hardly ever follow exact recipes. I usually alter them to make them more nutritious unless I'm making dessert. I love spices and herbs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad shares the love of cooking and food with me. We usually cook Sunday dinner together. One of the most relaxing things for me is to turn on some music just cook.
My cooking tragedies
Thankfully I haven't had any yet.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue
This is one of the easiest recipes I've ever made, and its really good! The first time I made it I followed the recipe exactly. The chicken didn't take as long to cook as it says... I think all slow cookers are different. There was also a lot of leftover sauce, which I thought was kind of wasteful. I've also made this for a party and cut the chicken breasts into bite-size chunks. They turned out really well!

Breadless Stuffing
I made this for my family on Thanksgiving. It was very good. However, if I made it again I would cut down on the amount of sage used.

Power Bars
I've made these bars a few times. I followed the recipe the first time. They were very good. They were kind of hard, but I like that texture. This is a very good recipe to be creative with. The second time I made them I added some butterscotch chips. They were very good. I've also made them adding raisins and chocolate chips. These were very chewy and tasted awsome!
