Easy Hamantaschen

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
As an incredibly inexperienced baker, I found this recipe reasonably simple and very tasty. With the first batch I made the mistake of not rolling the dough thin enough. The taste wasn't impacted, but they didn't hold their shape. The second batch turned out with a better triangle shape. When I make these again I won't add the flour all at once, seeing as I probably added another cup while I was rolling the dough.

Creamy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I just made this for the second time and it only gets better. I made two changes: used maple bacon, and sprinkled the pork with cinnamon, in addition to the salt, pepper and paprika. Obviously, it came out slightly sweet.

Polly Welby's Excellent Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This was so easy! I've never made mousse before and it came out perfect. Per some of the other reviews, I added 1.5 tb of sugar (I scaled the recipe back to 2 servings, so if you made it in it's original form, you would use 3 tb). I also made sure to add the chocolate slowly. Once the cream was whipped, I added one dollop of chocolate and mixed for 15-30 seconds until blended. I repeated this 3-4 times until the chocolate was gone.

Crispy Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Wouldn't change a thing. I used real egg, which was fine. The coating is great - love the potato taste. Don't be stingy with the oil or they will burn. I served this with a spicy honey mustard sauce and corn seasoned with cinnamon and red pepper.

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
I had no apple juice, so I used an equal amount motts apple sauce. Skipped the water and corn starch. Consistancy was perfect for 2 chops. Also added a tablespoon (or maybe two) of seagram's.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2005
This turned out pretty well. I thickened the sauce a bit and added a little more paprika than I probably should have, but it turned out for the best. It was a big hit for dinner that night, and the leftovers were just as good.

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2005
This recipe is excellent and very easy to follow. Before today I had never roasted a turkey before, so I was very nervous but it turned out great. It was very moist and just slightly sweet. I made this for dinner with my fiance's parents and it had great review all around. Thanks, Ibby!
