Allie's Awesome Easy Spice Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
This ? is for AllieGeekPi who submitted this recipe. What went wrong? I baked it and it fell, after checking at 55minutes. Baked total of one hour 10 min. I followed instructions, stirring all the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Too much stirring with spoon?? It smelled SO good too. I live at one mile above sea level, but have success with adding 2 TBS flour to all cakes. Thankyou

Chili Cheese Dip III

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2014
This is an oldie but Goodie, I've made it for 20 yrs. hormel has 1/3 less fat than Wolf brand canned chili! I like the idea of chopped green onions in the cream cheese. I bake in 10" glass pie pan in oven 325 til all melts and serve with crackers. Simple and always eaten up!

Mandarin Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I like Debbie's substitution for the onion soup mix. I left out the pasta and it was delicious and less carbs. Using a mandolin speeded the preparation.

Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Thanks for this recipe and suggestions. I bought a pressure cooker after not being able to make a tender potroast with my slow cooker-now that we're in the southwest. No problems in midwest. We blame it on the altitude or type of beef out here. Based on the too-salty reviews, I mixed one packet of 'McCormick's slow cooker potroast seasoning' and 2 tsp of Penzey's roasted onion pressing into meat, and cut up 3 garlic cloves and poked into the meat. Refrigerated 2 hrs(while watching the dvd on how to use the pressure cooker!) After browning meat in olive oil, I added 2 c water. 20 min before finished I added large chunks of carrots and potatoes. Best of all it was tender and tasted great. Mr. loved it! It was salty enough with the one packet of mix. Thanks for helping me get over the PRESSURE COOKER fear!

Grilled Pineapple

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2012
Good dessert! We combine brown sugar and rum, then pour over sliced fresh pineapple rings. Marinate 2-24 hours, then grill. our favorite and the alcohol burns off so all can enjoy.

Cinnamon and Lime Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
The best chicken fajitas we have ever eaten! The lime, cinnamon and toasty potatoes make this an authentic Mexican dish. I add more cilantro, since I'm a cilantro fiend. A blk bean/mango salad-recipe on Bush Beans can, rounded out our meal. Thank you for this recipe.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Great idea with the potatoes! I made a version of this in New Mexico where we have rosemary bushes growing in our yard. I oiled large baking pan, sprinkled in garlic salt, pepper, snipped rosemary, then added 4 chicken breasts, covered with sliced onion, rosemary sprigs, fresh garlic slices, then tomato slices, drizzled with olive oil & refrigerated 2 hrs. Bake 425 covered 25 min, then uncovered 15 min. I served with basmati rice cooked with chicken broth and diced onion and green beans. Chicken was delicious and moist. We loved it. Next time I'll add the potatoes as suggested.
