Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

These were really tasty! I didn't change anything other than the bake time - 15 minutes instead of 10 so they would be crispy. I think next time, I would double the spices and maybe add some black pepper for extra spice.

Lactation Cookies

These were okay. The first bite was good, but the aftertaste was kind of bitter. It may be because I know what brewer's yeast taste like on it's own (gross) but I think I'll have to jazz these up quite a bit in order to like them. My husband thought they were pretty good though (although he noticed the aftertaste too.)

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This was so good! The only changes I made were: omit the celery, add more carrots, and I made my own onion soup mix (3/4 cup instant minced onion, 4 teaspoons onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon crushed celery salt, 1/4 teaspoon sugar). I'm making it again tomorrow :)

Sarah's Applesauce

As written, this recipe is just okay. I made it once as the recipe specified, and a second time with revisions. The second time I made it, I LOVED it! My changes- reduce water by 1/4 cup, add 1/4 cup sugar free vanilla syrup, no sugar, double the cinnamon, add 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp cloves. DELISH!

Waffles I

This recipe seemed REALLY wet. It took forever to make them, and after 10 minutes or so, I gave up and they ended up a little undercooked. If I make these again, I think I will leave out the oil. I also added cinnamon cuz I love it in everything, and doubled the vanilla. These were only okay. I think I'll look elsewhere for a better recipe

Cream Cheese Frosting II

I scaled this WAY down (2 servings) and didn't quite have all the ingredients cuz I'm at work. I didn't have vanilla so I didn't use it, and I used granulated sugar cuz I didn't have powdered so I obviously can't say anything about that. I like cream cheese frosting, but this recipe was VERY cream cheese-y. I added almost twice as much sugar to get it to my liking. I'm not sure if it would still taste like that even with the vanilla. I'd probably make this again, just with more sugar.

I did not care for this recipe. I tasted it before I added the powdered sugar, and I didn't see how it could possibly get better so I didn't bother wasting three cups of powdered sugar.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

I'm not one who really likes pumpkin pie, but I tried this anyway. It was delicious; I had two pieces!! I followed the directions of some of the other reviewers and put 2 tsp cinnamon, and heated the mixture a bit before putting it in the crust.

Vanilla Glaze

If you're looking for a GLAZE (like you would find on a donut or something), you need to increase the milk. I thought I wanted a glaze, but when I increased the milk to 2.5 tbsp, I didn't get what I was invisioning (something similar to the picture.) It tastes pretty good either way though

Banana-Nut Bundt Cake

I changed this recipe a little to make it healthier. I used granulated Splenda instead of sugar, 2/3 cup oil + 1/3 cup apple sauce, 3 extremely mushy bananas, and egg whites instead of eggs. I probably used closer to 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. I also omitted the pineapple (cuz I didn't have any) and the coconuts and nuts (cuz I don't like either.) I gave it 3 stars because I don't know if it was my changes or the recipe. I didn't like it. It was VERY dense, which I was expecting a little but it was too much. It wasn't very pretty either. It just tastes off.

Five Minute Ice Cream

This is great! So wonderfully creamy! I used frozen mixed berries since that's what we happened to have on hand and it was delicious. I stuck it in the freezer for 30 minutes and it was firmer, but still fairly smushy. I liked it better this way but still ate the rest after it was more like traditional ice cream. I tried frozen mangos today and it was smoother than the berries (since they have seeds on them) but the taste is kinda weird.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Delicious but didn't need anywhere near 8 hours, even on low. I'm making it again today but this time I'll probably cook it on high for about 2 hours. Also, when I made it the first time, I included the pineapple chunks. I thought the actual chunks were gross, but my fiend liked them. This time, I'm only adding the pineapple juice.

Bikini Martini

The recipe as written wasn't that great, but when altered a bit it's realllly good. I don't like coconut so we just used banana rum, but since we're not big alcohol/vodka drinkers, this drink was too strong. We doubled the pineapple juice, and only used 1/2 ounce of vodka and it's fantastic. I'm drinking one as we type! With the drink mixed like this, I can definately see how you can get drunk quickly without realizing it.
