Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
Finally! A Chili recipe everyone in my family likes. I don't add the celery or bell pepper because my kids won't eat anything that I add those ingredients to. Great recipe...thanks for sharing!

Never Fail Pie Crust II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This worked well for the original serving size of 16. I wasn't able to roll it out without it sticking to the rolling pin but it worked out when I just shaped it into the pie pan. I've never had a successful pie crust but this one would be close. The flavor is good and it's flaky but I would like to be able to roll it out with the rolling pin. I'll keep practicing.

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
OMG! These are sooo good! I wasn't doing so well with bread in my bread maker but these turned out great. I've already made 2 batches in a week and will be making 3 more tomorrow for my husband to take to work. You can't go wrong with this one it's too easy. I follow the recipe except for leaving out the raisins and nuts.

Hash Brown Casserole for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
This is a classic recipe everyone will love. I make mine a little different. Instead of cream of mushroom, I use cream of chicken and instead of processed cheese I use cheddar. It's a must try that will become a tradition.

Banana Split Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This was so good! The only thing I did different was reduced the condensed sweet milk to 2 tablespoons. It was even better the next day. Super easy and inexpensive.

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
This is always good and very versital. We use fruit juice instead of beer. I add garlic and onion to the can. My husband is actually the one who cooks the chicken and as he is grilling it he sprays it every 15 mins or so with a mixture of vinegar and water. This keeps the chicken moist and makes it golden brown.

The only thing I would change about this recipe is covering the dish to bake and add more swiss cheese. Overall it was an recipe and tasty.

Lentils And Spinach

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2008
This was really good. I didn't find it bland at all. I did add curry, turkey kiebalsa, fresh spinach and used chicken broth instead of water. It was very filling and just tasted healthy. I will make this again.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
This cake was good but a little dry. Cooking time in my oven should be around 45mins. My brother-in- law thought it needed icing but he's a real chocolate lover. I thought the powdered sugar worked well. I've already made this a second time so it's a keeper.

Breaded Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
This was an easy recipe, for sure a keeper. It was a little overseasoned because the stuffing mix was preseasoned. Next time I will omit the Italian seasoning because it was almost overpowering. Husband and kids still liked it so I will make again. Thanks for sharing.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
One word- YUM! The only thing I changed about the recipe was extra cilantro and chicken chunks, not shredded. Next time I might add an extra can of green chilis but it's great with just one.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
Easy recipe. The only thing I did different was make my own bacon bits. I served with fried potatoes and corn. My kids loved it, I didn't get any because of my diet. Because my husband said it was just okay, I have to give it 4 stars.

Loved this recipe. I was not brave enough to use the chocolate but will try it next time. I did add beans to mine. My husband is not a fan of spicy food so this one was right on for him. I will make over and over again.
