Super Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
These were a BIG hit! I made the whole batch for my husband and I to snack on..we ended up taking them to our jobs, and we were swarmed! Everyone raved about them. I sprinkled extra parmesean cheese on top and added a little garlic powder. YUM!

Chicken Danielle

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I usually have a problem overcooking chicken, due to when I was a child I had Salmonella. But..let me tell you..this chicken came out MOIST as anything! I could not believe it! I didn't have Marsala wine, so I used white wine instead, and even my husband (who was born and raised in the south, and only likes chicken fried), devoured it! My 4 year old absolutely loved it! I served it over linguine, and used a french baugette to sop up all the savory "gravy". This is a definate keeper. Thanks so much! :D

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Soooo yummy. My husband isn't a big pasta fan, but he absolutely loved this alfredo sauce. I also used it to bake chicken and fish in too. It was so delicious. I love all the garlic. :D

Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
This is exactly what I was looking for! I did what a previous poster said, and doubled the garlic. 1/2 Tsp in the batter, 1/2 Tsp. in the butter. I also upped the cheese to 1 C. and added dried parsley to the melted butter. I didn't have buttermilk baking mix, so I used plain, and they were still delicious! My husband ate them all up before dinner was even on the table! I had to make a 2nd batch!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
Mmmm, soooo good. My husband absolutely loved this recipe. I actually did not have seasoned salt, so I used some old bay seasoning instead. I rubbed the chops very well. I had cheap, thin boneless chops, and I reduced the cooking time to 1/2 hour. I actually poured the sauce over the chops and popped them in the oven. They came out moist and juicy! It makes cheap cuts taste like expensive thick cuts. I really loved this..thanks for sharing. P.S. - I had ALL the ingredients in my cubbard already! That's strange..:D

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2006
This was a very tasty recipe. I had used cheap, thin sliced pork chops, and only cooked them for 20 minutes (after I had browned them). They were a little overdone, so I probably won't brown them again. I also followed a previous posters advice, and added 2 cloves of minced garlic to the mixture. I also thickened it up on the stovetop with some cornstarch. It was so good! I made some fried rice to go along with it, and my husband AND picky 4 year old ate it all up! Thanks for the recipe! This one's a keeper.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
I've made this recipe twice so far, and I've made a couple of adjustments to it. The first time I made it, I made exactly like the directions stated. Although, I used a meat thermometer, because my loin was perfect in 1 1/2 hrs. The second time I made this, I pureed 4 cloves of garlic, 1/2 of the rosemary, and enough olive oil to bind it together. I rubbed my pork loin w/ the paste, then put in a ziploc bag in the fridge for a few hours to marinate. YUM! I threw in some veggies with my loin (carrots, onions and celery) and poured about 1/4 cup of wine in the bottom of the pan. Roasted for about 1.5 hours covered, and everything was perfect! I scooped out the veggies, and then used a can of chicken stock and some cornstarch to make a gravy out of the pan drippings. I served with buttered herb rice and the roasted vegetables. BIG hit! 5 stars! Thanks!

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
This was VERY yummy. Everyone ate it, including my picky 4 and 1 year olds. I didn't have cinnamon applesauce, so I took 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon and added it to the sauce. Also, I chopped some apples and potatoes and roasted them with olive oil and cracked black peppercorns. YUM! The roast came out SO juicy! Def. a keeper!

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
Yum! I made this in my crockpot @ work..in fact..I still smell it simmering away :D The only changes I made was I added 2 cans of chicken stock (4 cups) and a can of water (2 cups). I dumped 2 cups of green split peas in along w/ the broth. I didn't measure the veggies. I used 1 small onion minced, 3 med. carrots, finely chopped, and 3 stalks celery finely chopped. I also added 2 cloves of garlic, and the Salt-Free seasoning blend. (oh yeah, and salt. lol)I added 3 strips of bacon, diced and I simmered for 6 hours on low, then used an immersion blender to mix it up a little. It came out so yummy! I'm planning on serving this w/ croutons or crusty bread. Thanks!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
This was great! I was a little hesitant to put in an extra can of chilies, but I am SO glad that I did. We had bought mild taco sauce and also bought a can of diced tomatoes, lime juice, cilantro and chilies. It added a nice little kick. I think that if I omitted the extra chilies, it would have been a little *too* mild. This recipe was a hit at my house! My husband made it, and it turned out perfect. Thanks!!

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This marinade is absolutely delicious! I didn't change it a bit. I marinated 3 flank steaks for 24 hours, and cooked on the grill. The flavor was immense, and my husband flipped over it. Even my 18 month old kept saying "bite! bite!" for more. The next day, we sauteed some of the flank steak w/ onions and melted mozzarella and made our own version of philly cheesesteaks. Great recipe! Def. a keeper!

This was absolutely delicious! I bathed the chicken breasts in butter and 4 cloves of sauteed garlic, then breaded them. I also used Asiago cheese instead of parmesean. YUM! :)

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
This pizza dough was wonderful! I used 2 Tbsp Olive Oil instead of vegetable, and the flavor of this crust was delicious! It was so easy! I mixed the ingredients together in a bowl for about 5 minutes by hand, then kneaded for about another 5. I let the dough rest for 10 minutes under a clean towel, and proceeded to shape it. Yum! Thanks for such a wonderful, easy recipe! After making this a few times, I have a little input. After making this with Bread Flour, instead of all purpose, and letting it rise for 30 minutes, the dough produced was a very chewy, airy, pizza dough. Making it with All Purpose flour, and letting it rest for 10 minutes, resulted in a crispy thin crust. Both were delicious! I used with the "exquisite pizza sauce" recipe found on here.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

This pizza sauce is delicious! I am so happy I had all the ingredients (sans the anchovy paste). This was delicious on our homemade pizza dough. I also think this sauce would be perfect for dipping some homemade breadsticks into! Yummy!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
I've made this about 3 times so far, each with a bit of tweaking. I find that I get the best flavor if I omit 2 cups of the tomato sauce and use 2 cups of V-8 juice instead. I also added a can of drain portabello mushrooms to the soup while it was simmering. I only had white wine on hand, so that's what i used. I also used 1lb of browned ground beef instead of pasta. My husband loved it. Anything that sticks to your ribs is a winner with him. Plus, most of these veggies I got out of my veggie garden! Perfect! I served this in bread bowls and got rave reviews. There was not one drop of soup left. 5 Stars!!

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
Wow. Perfect. I have made this 4 times, and every time is wonderful. I do tweak it just a little to my taste, by reducing the bacon by 1/2. I don't want to overpower the taste of the fried leeks. So delicious! Oh, and be sure to rinse your leeks VERY well. I made the mistake of giving them a quick rinse and got sand all in my fried leeks. I had to rinse them and wash off all the bacon-y goodness. =[

Easy Polenta with Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
First off, this came out AMAZING! I followed the directions in making the polenta. After I baked it, I left it in the fridge overnight to cool. The next day, I heated up some Olive Oil in a heavy bottomed skillet. I fried the Polenta, and browned all sides. (This polenta fries wonderfully!) Topped with my own sauce, and handmade garlic bread. OmNomNoms! My family gobbled it up. What a great dish!
