Fresh Cherry Crisp
This is a delicious crisp- used 4 cans of sour cherries since I cannot find any fresh sour cherries in our area. Made it even easier to use the cans since they were already pitted. Also, I substituted another 1/2 cup of butter for the shortening, and the result was a outstanding topping that I will use with other fruits.

Guinness(R) Corned Beef
I cooked it in my slow cooker; maybe that was the problem- I didn't follow directions. Mine turned out bitter- like the taste of cooked Guinness. I had added potatoes/cabbage about an hour before it was finished, as other reviewers had suggested, and boy, did they pick up the bitter flavor I am talking about. Maybe at some point I will try it again, and this time follow the directions as written.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad
Everybody loved this, and it's a "pretty salad" that I serve in my big wooden salad bowl. I make the dressing earlier in the day, and use two 5-oz packages of the prepackaged spinach salad to save time. I toasted the almonds earlier in the day as well.
