Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2006
This was good. I followed the recipe for the most part. Didnt see any need to change it:) I did add the carrots in a little earlier then the potatoes, I like mine to be soft. Added some Rosemary and parsley seemed to give it more flavor then just the beef stock. I needed to add more liquid so put a little more wine in and a bit of water and all was good. Stew should be left to sit for a while before serving it tastes so much better warmed up!!! Oh I added a little mash potato, Every homemade stew I have had in Ireland had both. and I liked it!!!!

Irish Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2006
Not bad. just needed to make a few adjustments:) Putting the parsnips in so early made them go to mush! Was that the point? hope not. I would suggest putting them in at the same time as pots. And for the pots I put them in 35 minutes before I like mine to be cooked and soft throughout. I also suggest preparing this meal at least an hour before you need it. Stew always tastes better when left and then warmed up!!! promise.

nothing to special. but a good base to work with. Putting it altogether and leaving in the fridge for a while did set the flavor some.

I was planning on making a tuna sandwich so I thought I would check to see if I was missing out on another way to prepare it by using this most helpful website!! And yes good sandwich, tasty, I tend to burn my buns!! so the tin foil prevented this from happening!!

Chicken Francese for One

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2006
I dont want to put you off, this was a decent meal. I personally didn't like the sauce to much, but the chicken came out nice enough. I followed the last review and added white wine and reduced amount of butter. Will make again, but will make so many changes that it will nolonger be the same recipe!!!

True Love Chicken

Only giving this a 4. I didn't have any white wine handy so I left that out. So with that being said this was a quick tasty meal. Something I will make again when I am not in the mood to cook!!! this meal takes under 30 minutes to prepare and cook!!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
I am still on the fence with this one. Filets are such a tender flavorful cut of meat to begin with. I started my glaze a few minutes ahead of time, which I found to be a good idea. I added mushrooms and garlic. which I am glad I did! If this is a meal to impress! Try it ahead of time! you to may find yourself on the fence.

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
You would think spaghetti is just spaghetti!! But no this tasted a little different, which really did make a nice change. I did add a can of chopped toms, which also contained chopped peppers onion and aubergines. This I found made it not so dry. I added regular mature cheddar to the bake. and finished with grated parmasen. I will be making this on a regular basis.

Beef and Mushroom Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
I thought they were fine, but nothing special. I would make them again, but I would use more spices then the recipe calls for. I ended up having to put hot sauce on them just to make it more flavorful!! Granted I didn't use extra gravy, I didn't add any after it had been in the oven. But that shouldn't have made much difference.

Linguini with Broccoli and Red Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
I have made this twice and both times have had to change it up a bit. First I followed others advice, used rice and added mushrooms. Next time I used the pasta but found it bland, so I added soy sauce and made it into chinese style pasta with chicken! this turned out tasty, So all together I used soy sauce, mush. broc. garlic and peppers and slices of chicken breast.
