Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Everyone Loved it at our cook out! I just did the pasta, dressing, bacon & cheese and left the extras out...still a big hit. I'm suprised a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing with the mayo has that much flavor...delicious. The 1 oz. (taller) Hidden Valley Ranch packet was the perfect amount.

Awesome Steak Marinade

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This is really great. It takes a lot of steak sauce so I buy the bulk A1 at Costco. I have yet to get honey so I have been using sugar...they are not equal measurements so you have to add to taste.

Great Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
This is great and similar to my usual of Zesty Italian salad dressing + the lemon juice. I did add the oil this time in addition to the salad dressing & lemon juice & it was still great!

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Very Good. The dill added some color but I still sprinkled them with paprika. I did use the white wine vinegar and I didn't think it was too strong.

Sunday Best Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
I really enjoyed this but everyone else for Easter dinner seemed to think it was just OK. My husband commented that it looked slimy. I guess overall I would prefer it the same as basic fruit salad. I have to say though that soaking the fruit in the pineapple juice is an excellant trick that I will use from now on. We soaked all the fruit..the kids had fun with that.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
It was good and everyone seemed to like it, but it wasn't what I think of when I think of a creamy, chocolate pie. It tasted exactly like cocoa that has been sweetened. I guess I was thinking more of a pudding pie? I will keep searching.

Yummy Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
This had way too much ricotta cheese for my liking...it took up so much space that I didn't have room for the last layer of noodles and sauce.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
I made it as-is and it tasted good..my 2 yr. old liked it but my husband did not. I used my pampered chef slicer on the thinnest setting to slice the potatoes and unfortunately since I did it the not before, the potatoes were brown by morning so I wouldn't recommend putting the dish together in advance.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
I only had a small 2.5 lb. ham without a bone and it still turned out great in my small crock pot with 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar. It wasn't dry at all.

Enhanced Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
I really thought this did add just a hint of flavor and made everything more tasty. My kids seemed more inclined to eat just the spaghetti without the sauce more than they usual.

Buttery Cooked Carrots

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
I thought these carrots were great...the rest of the company liked them but some thought they were too sweet - it depends on your taste. I will serve again.

Microwave Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
I was so excited to find a quick way to cook corn on the cob without having to boil water on hot days. It turned out great but I did have to increase the cooking time to do 4 ears. I think I will try leaving the husks on next time as other reviewers suggest.

Cheese Lovers' Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
I didn't like the taste of the American cheese in this...it really stood out to me. I enjoyed it otherwise and the family ate it and enjoyed it. I will stick to my regular lasagna recipe with the meat left out.

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
My husband loved it so I would give it 3.5 stars...I like more of the crock pot, fall apart type pot roast so it wasn't my favorite. The kids wouldn't touch it.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
This was a big hit with everyone at our family gathering over Memorial Day weekend...it's a nice change from the traditional macaroni salad. I've made it without the celery and it tasted just as good.
