I'm going to give this recipe four stars, mainly because I altered it a little bit. But it wasn't bad at all. I used ground Turkey meat instead of the beef it called for. (Wish I hadn't - the texture just wasn't as good as ground beef) I also used frozen veggies (peas and carrots) the way some of the other reviewers did instead of canned. And, then to save time, I used instant potatoes. Surprisingly, no one could tell that the potatoes weren't homemade. So I would definitely recommend the short cut if you're in a hurry. One last thing to mention, this makes a LOT of food. Make sure you have a big enough family to eat it, or plan on eating Shepherd's Pie for a few days after making it. :) Thanks for the recipe!
