About this Cook
Owner of a retail florist, but was in the restaurant industry for years. I also train dogs on the weekends with my husband.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods, Italian, Mexican, and desserts. I love to order something at a restaurant and go home and try to figure out the dish in my own kitchen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I was my mothers cooking assistant every night in the kitchen growing up. (I obviously got my love of cooking from her.)Most of my childhood memories were spending time with her in the kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
My husband telling me that I am the best cook he knows. He would rather have my cooking than go to any restaurant. What a compliment!
My cooking tragedies
Oooo... there was one time when I was first learning to cook that I mistakenly put a TBSP of salt instead of a TSP in a cake recipe. (Didnt realize the mistake until after I served it) Yikes that was nasty!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings
Since I don't have a fryer I baked then broiled these wings and they still came out great! Can't wait to get a good fryer so I can try these again.

Famous Butter Chicken
I keep this recipe in my regular dinner rotation. We enjoy this recipe as is, but it's also a great base for adding additional flavors to it: basil, Italian seasoning, seasoned salts, etc.
