Apple Butter Pork Loin

Very yummy. Def. serve with cooking juice as this is a bit dry without some juice ladled over, but overall very good.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
My first chili ever. it was fabulous! I used a homemade salsa my cousin had canned and it had just the right amount of zip.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
I thought this soup was perfectly decent, but nothing fabulous. I might make it again. But then considering that we only have two people eating it. I have plenty to freeze and may not ever desire it after the four meals it will make us. Easy to make and cheap extras to use up scraps, so that is a plus.

Whipped Cream Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
So light and delicious. They looked beautiful, and they weighed next to nothing. It was like biting into heaven. I did have to add quite a bit of unwhipped cream, I didn't measure as I went along, but be sure not to use up the last of your cream with whipping.

Easy Cheese and Garlic Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
I'm rather generous with the butter, garlic and cheese, and these are great. I only cook 4 at a time and freeze the other four. do not freeze with milk brushed on. just brush some onto the frozen scones before popping them into the oven. so good with any pasta!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
I never add cherries and use crushed pineapple to make it extra moist. I also make it in a 9"x13" pan and it takes my husband and I a week to finish , but it is good to the end.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Huge hit! And so simple. I did add a bit of minced garlic and I used sliced provolone cheese on warm, not toasted rolls, yummy!

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
one of our favorite dishes! I buy the small tub of feta at the grocery store, but there is about half leftover after stuffing the chicken. I add it to a saucepan witha can of cr. of celery soup and about a cup of milk and cook over medium-low heat until warm and thin. It make a easy but very good sauce drizzled over the top. There is rarely any chicken leftover, but I like this sauce served over toast the next day.

My Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
I never liked meatloaf as a kid, and found this recipe after my husband requested meatloaf. I came to the table with my bottle of ketchup ready to douse it into being edible but it wasn't necessary. Very good! I'll even eat leftovers. I've also substituted salsa for the ketchup and taco seasoning for the italian dressing, leaving out the onion soup mix, and that adds a nice kick, but I still mostly like the classic recipe here.

Manicotti Shells

These were good but very unpasta like. More like a crepe. I will probably keep as a crepe recipe though.

Chicken and Dumplings III

I change this recipe up a bit by using chicken breast and a bit of margarine, 1 can cr. of chicken and 1 cr. of celery and homemade buttermilk biscuit dough, I've also added carrots a couple times, which adds a nice bit of color. great recipe to work with.

This got mixed reviews from "okay", to "ohmygosh this is good". I was somewhere in between. I'll probably make again, but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

Very good recipe, my husbamd doesn't mind eating these far dinner, and they are so quick and easy. I only soak about ten seconds on each side, or they don't get cooked inside.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Great dish. We thought it needed meat, but that can be added easily next time. I used the largest fitting on my dessert decorator to fill the shells and it worked wonderfully.
