Orange Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2006
This is my goto recipe for cheesecake. It is dense and creamy. Also very versatile; I've substituted the chocolate and orange with both blueberry and strawberry puree. It makes a very pretty dessert garnished with the fresh fruit and always satisfies. Also can be frozen and enjoyed later. I always put the springform pan on top of a muffin pan filled with water when baking and it helps prevent cracks. Thanks for sharing. This dessert always wins rave reviews from friends and family members.

Rice & Beans (Haitian Style)

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
This dish is way too hot! I've never used a scotch bonnet chile pepper before so didn't know what to expect. Don't know if we'll be able to eat it b/c of the spices...it smells good though!

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
This cake is so easy to make and gets rave reviews! It does taste just like a honey bun! I used a white cake mix b/c that's all I had in the pantry, and it was great. Very moist, just enough cinnamon and sugar. I cooked the cake in a bundt pan and cut the icing recipe in half and it was plenty. Received rave reviews! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
Excellent! I improvised a bit; didn't have ground beef so used some leftover chicken breast. Also had ricotta cheese and used 1/2 cup of that with 1 cup of sour cream and used sliced mozzarella instead of provolone. It was very tasty!

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
I'd never made my own pizza dough, but this was so easy and good! I followed other reader's advice and added a bit of Italian Seasonings with the flour and cooked the crust for about 10 minutes before adding toppings and cooking again. It was delicious! Thank you for sharing - it's awesome!!!

YUMMO! So simple yet elegant and very, very tasty. I'm adding some fresh sliced mushrooms to the sauce next time, although this dish is so good you don't need anything else.

Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
AMAZING!! I grilled these on cedar planks and it was incredible. Followed recipe with one exception - I didn't have lemon pepper, so I squeezed some fresh lemon and sprinkled black pepper into the marinade. Simple and so good. Will definitely keep this in rotation!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
O.M.G. !! I used 4 cups of powdered sugar instead of 9, and added a pinch of salt to cut the sweetness. Also added a TBS or two more of milk as it was creaming. INCREDIBLE! Very smooth, silky and delicious. Thanks for sharing!

I love this cake! It's moist, flavorful and pretty. I added a layer of buttercream icing over the cream cheese for decorating purposes and it was wonderful. Thanks for posting. Great summertime dessert.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
I like the combination of rosemary, garlic and pork and it smelled wonderful as it was roasting. My meat was dry however after cooking at 250 for 2 hours and basting throughout. I thought slow roasting it would make it more tender, but not so. Will try again at the recommended temperature and make sure not to overcook.

FANTASTIC! I marinated the shrimp overnight and cooked some on the regular grill and others on the Foreman grill. Both were amazing. Will make again - soon!

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
I make this regularly as a side dish rather than chili; I omit the veg oil and meat and cook everything else in the crockpot on low for several hours. It is great! I sometimes add a tsp of cumin too. Thanks for posting.
