Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
AMAZING!! I grilled these on cedar planks and it was incredible. Followed recipe with one exception - I didn't have lemon pepper, so I squeezed some fresh lemon and sprinkled black pepper into the marinade. Simple and so good. Will definitely keep this in rotation!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 15, 2010
O.M.G. !! I used 4 cups of powdered sugar instead of 9, and added a pinch of salt to cut the sweetness. Also added a TBS or two more of milk as it was creaming. INCREDIBLE! Very smooth, silky and delicious. Thanks for sharing!

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
This cake is so easy to make and gets rave reviews! It does taste just like a honey bun! I used a white cake mix b/c that's all I had in the pantry, and it was great. Very moist, just enough cinnamon and sugar. I cooked the cake in a bundt pan and cut the icing recipe in half and it was plenty. Received rave reviews! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
I make this regularly as a side dish rather than chili; I omit the veg oil and meat and cook everything else in the crockpot on low for several hours. It is great! I sometimes add a tsp of cumin too. Thanks for posting.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
I like the combination of rosemary, garlic and pork and it smelled wonderful as it was roasting. My meat was dry however after cooking at 250 for 2 hours and basting throughout. I thought slow roasting it would make it more tender, but not so. Will try again at the recommended temperature and make sure not to overcook.

Very good! It smelled fabulous as it was baking. I used half of both olive oil and salt and it tasted wonderful. Very easy to prepare and baking in foil leaves no mess.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
Excellent! I improvised a bit; didn't have ground beef so used some leftover chicken breast. Also had ricotta cheese and used 1/2 cup of that with 1 cup of sour cream and used sliced mozzarella instead of provolone. It was very tasty!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This was so easy, moist and full of flavor. I cut the recipe in half, using one 4 1/2 lb. chicken. I rubbed the spices under and on top of the skin, marinated for 5 hours in the fridge and slow-roasted at 250 for 4 1/2 hours, basting the chicken with the pan juices throughout. I also added a few garlic cloves and chopped shallot to the onion in the cavity. It is so easy to make and wonderful! The bones make a great broth as well. Will add this to regular rotation. YUM!

Orange Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2006
This is my goto recipe for cheesecake. It is dense and creamy. Also very versatile; I've substituted the chocolate and orange with both blueberry and strawberry puree. It makes a very pretty dessert garnished with the fresh fruit and always satisfies. Also can be frozen and enjoyed later. I always put the springform pan on top of a muffin pan filled with water when baking and it helps prevent cracks. Thanks for sharing. This dessert always wins rave reviews from friends and family members.
