Chocolate Brittle Surprise

I make this exactly as written - so tempting! I can eat the whole batch myself...though definitely not at one sitting. It is VERY rich! A little goes a long way.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

I made this for a group of 26 people and I got rave reviews! I omitted the mushrooms because I don't like them, but I doubt that changed the overall flavor of the recipe that much. Everyone loved it!

Breakfast Sausage

Made this tonight to add to my gravy for biscuits and gravy. I cooked ground beef, and then added all the spices and cooked it in some extra water until all the liquid cooked off. I didn't have red pepper flakes, so used a pinch of cayenne pepper. It was very good!

Baked Corn

Made it as is - except cut the butter in half. I doubled it and made 2 9x13s for a crowd of 20. All of it was gobbled up except for one piece. I'd say that is a good indication that it was well liked!

David's Yellow Cake

Yummy! I used 4 whole eggs b/c I didn't have enough to do 8 egg yolks and it still turned out delish! It didn't rise as much as a box cake might have, but had I taken the time to beat it longer it might have. I was in a rush. I will definitely be keeping this as my staple yellow cake recipe!

Lemon Lush Pie

This was a great recipe! The first time I made it, I realized too late, that my sour cream was bad. In a pinch I folded in cool whip instead. Yuummmy! Then I made it a second time with sour cream and again...Yum! My only change each time was according to reviewers suggestions to add 1/2 c. lemon juice and cut the milk to 3/4 c. I will definitely make this again.

Belle's Hamburger Buns

I have made these several times and I don't change a thing. I follow the recipe exactly using my stand mixer and the buns come out light and fluffy with a wonderful texture. I sprinkle poppy seeds on the top. My family loves them.

Peppermint Ice Cream Loaf

I made this for my daughters birthday and it was a HIT. I changed some things. Instead of crushing candy (I didn't have any) I just put a teaspoon of peppermint extract in a quarter cup of water. I also didn't put any candy bits in the ice cream mixture. I used the chocolate sauce recipe from the Tunnel Ice Cream Cake recipe on this site and drizzled it over the cookie crust before putting in the ice cream mixture. It was delicious! So sorry for the reviewer that wouldn't even attempt to make this recipe. They sure missed out!

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup

This soup is superb! Tastes just like Greek Lemon soups that I have eaten in restaurants. I used bouillon cubes as I didn't have any fresh broth on hand, and omitted the celery as well. It still tasted great. I also followed other reviewers advice and added the rice as it was served. It wouldn't have been a problem though as there were no leftovers. Delish!
