Quinoa with Asian Flavors

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Gah, salty!!!! I just finished making this (following the recipe as is) and it's so, so salty! Use reduced sodium broth and 1/2 the soy sauce. In the mean time, I'm going to work on making this taste better.

Vietnamese Tofu Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
This dish is delicious! I made some changes, though: I added green peppers and onions and instead of veggie oil (or EVOO) I used sesame oil. Literally, this has been my dinner the past three days, and I'm not tired of it. I'm only sad that I've finished it. Oh, and no peanuts, I'm not a fan of their taste!

I made these, and they're good, if not a little plain.

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This is a good recipe, but I make the filling without the shortening. I use instead: cream cheese, butter, cinnamon and confectioners sugar. The cookie base is very tasty though, and moist!

Easy Rum Cake

AMAZING!!! Wow, just throw some powdered sugar on top, and you've got yourself a treat that looks like it took hours! This cake is ridiculously easy to make too!

Layered Mint Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
I liked it, but everyone thought they looked unappetizing (the green threw people off) , and they didn't fully set. They were actually the only pieces of fudge that were left in my fridge after the night was done.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
Everyone seems to love these, but I found them to taste weird. I think it's because the chili powder overpowers the flavor of the other spices...

Veggie Fajitas

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
These were pretty good! The only things I did differently were add more mushrooms (I LOVE mushrooms and they really soak up the flavor ), cilantro, and I used real pepper and real lemon. I would for sure make these again.

Beer Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
These weren't as amazing as I was hoping. I know what they're called and all, but the beer taste was too strong in them.

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
It's good as is, however to make it great, add grated (or finely cut) cucumbers.

Christmas Turtle Candies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
Um, these are pretty good and dreadfully easy to make, but the caramel doesn't taste authentically turtle like. However, short of making your own caramel, I don't know how else to get it to taste right.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Scramble

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
As a vegetarian, these aren't great for me... for my family however, they're in love!!! I think I spent a month where this is all my family would eat for breakfast. So yes, I made these several times and will likely make them again.

Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
These are pretty average. They're great as a starter biscuit and from here you can go ahead and add whatever you may want on your biscuit. However, as a stand alone, they're pretty bland.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
I loved them. They were so good, I had them for breakfast and dinner. My father who is not a fan of sweets ate more than one of them. I don't know what it is about these, but they are just right in every aspect. They were chocolatey enough for the kids and those with sweet tooths (me) and just perfect for those who are not in love with chocolate chip pancakes. I'm certainly making these again.

Cinnamon Apple Syrup

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
I did not like this at all! It was easy to make, but that was the only good thing about it. It was dreadfully sweet in an almost cough syrup kind of way. My sister tried to be nice and poured a bit of it on her pancakes, but she couldn't finish it, and neither could I. I will not be making these again.

Cinnamon Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
I really disliked these. They were grainy and the apples turned into this soggy mess. Plus these apples did not mesh well with the pancakes. I will not be making these again.
