Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
This is an awesome teriyaki recipe! I had 4 chicken breasts and apple cider vinegar. I reduced the cooking time to 25 minutes total. Also, as the chicken cooled a little and the asparagus baked, I basted and the sauce ended up nice and thick. Very very good!

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
I can't believe I forgot to rate these cookies. These are absolutely delicious! I didn't have any shortening, so I substituted butter. The molasses makes them divine, and the spice amounts are just right. Go by the bake time as to not overcook them, no matter how they look. They are perfectly crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle, and they stored fine for me. I love spice cookies, and this is definitely my go to spice cookie recipe now! Thank you so much for this awesome recipe! btw... For people who had flat cookies, invest in a cookie scoop. Not sure if what caused the cookies to be flat, but a cookie scoop makes a perfect cookie!

Gourmet Cream of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
This was soooo good and easy! I needed to make a larger pot, so I just tripled everything. If you would like it a little thicker, just use a little less broth and a little more potato or a larger potato. You can also grate a little cheese on top and/or bacon. Quick, easy, and great flavor. I loved it.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
I'll be honest and say that I can't give you a review using the cottage cheese, because I substituted. I can tell you that using the same recipe substituting sour cream is divine! The parmesan, egg, and butter mixed with the noodles makes it really hold together and tasty. I also double the sauce for coverage and add a little garlic and onion. (You can always add your fave extras to taste) This makes a very full 9 by 13 dish. If you want less, use the original one sauce and cut the noodles in half. I have made this many times now, sometimes doing meatballs instead of ground beef. Either way, this always gets a satisfied eye roll and grunt from my husband. :) Everyone loves it! *Update- try it with italian sausage cut into 1 inch pieces. Cook a little to barely brown before adding to sauce. Delicious!

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010 husband said it was delicious. He loves spicy food. Ours was a little more on the spicy side because we were out of curry, so we used cayenne to kick it a little. Much better than shake n bake!

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I don't want to be unfair; maybe I will try this again. The mayo was overpowering. I didn't read the other reviews first that said to ditch it. I also added worcestershire that seemed to help some. My son nor husband cared for it either....and my husband is usually game for anything. Sorry.

Cornbread Dressing I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
I made this Thanksgiving, and my husband said it was better than his moms. It is sooo good. I had no sausage or biscuits ready, so I just used cornbread and non cooked eggs, and it was still wonderful! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
Simple, not too sweet, moist in the middle, crunchy around the edges! The only suggestion I would add is to keep the dough in the freezer between batches as it is a bit sticky.
