Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

I add 1 teaspoon vanilla at the same time I add the baking soda and I also butter a cookie sheet and then pour the mixture onto that to harden.

Candy Cane Fudge

I followed this recipe just as written except I did not add the food coloring....I don't think this candy needs it, it is SOOO pretty on it's own. I added the crushed candy cane to the mixture and then after pouring it into the prepared pan, I very gentley patted some crushed candy cane on top of the fudge. I posted a picture and I think the fudge looks pretty without the food coloring. Thank you for a wonderful and easy recipe.

Martha Washington Candies

I would give this recipe more stars if I could, it is absolutely fabulous candy!!! I made just as directed except for adding paraffin to the chocolate. DEFINITELY ADD PARAFFIN to the chocolate!!! The paraffin makes the chocolate have a beautiful sheen, makes it easier to work with and helps the chocolate to dry quicker. I shave the paraffin into the chocolate so it will melt quickly....by all means DO NOT add a big chunk of paraffin if you melt the chocolate in the microwave, it will not melt easily that way. I made one set of candy without the paraffin and one with, I wish I had taken a picture of the set without paraffin to show the difference. This candy also taste almost identical to the Mayfair candy that See's sells except you just need to add chopped up maraschino cherries to the filling.....which I will definitely do the next time I make these! Thanks SO much for such a wonderful recipe. Almost forgot to add DO NOT forget to chill it will help to make the filling less gooey to work with and make sure your chocolate isn't scalding hot or your candy most likely will fall apart. I had absolutely zero problems making this, give it a try.

Easy Pumpkin Cream Trifle

Followed this recipe just as written except for subbing one box of pumpkin spice pudding. I found that I only needed to bake my cake for 35 minutes and it was nice and moist. I also found that 4 Skor bars equal a perfect cup crushed for the toffee bits. I also made homemade whipped cream to put on top of the trifle as 1 container of Cool Whip wasn't enough for me. =) This is delicious!!! Make it the day before to let the flavors meld together...it is absolutely fabulous!!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Absolutely wonderful! Made just as written and it came out perfect. I put waxed paper down on the sheet before pouring the roll mix (I do this by greasing the sheet first with crisco the put the wax paper over that to get the wax paper to stick to the sheet) and I didn't use a damp towel to invert the roll but used another wax paper sheet with powdered sugar....Will definitely make this again!

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

I used a head of cabbage and shredded that which worked really well. I also used rice vinegar in place of the cider vinegar and scaled down the sugar to 1/4 cup. I also added 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds and sliced almonds which I toasted with the ramen. Really great recipe that obviously can be altered to a cooks taste. Thanks so much!

Melt In Your Mouth Blueberry Cake

Excellent recipe....I followed exactly as written using fresh blueberries and the batter is absolutely beautiful. When the cake was done I did make a glaze to go on top made of powder sugar, milk & cinnamon, the glaze definitely makes the cake even better! Cinnamon in the batter enhances the flavor of the cake for sure. Overall the cake is moist and tender...Thanks so much and I will be making this again!
