Stuffed Shells III

When I went to the grocery store, I realized that I had written down the ingredients of the recipe, but not the quantity of the items, AND, I bought cottage cheese by mistake, instead of ricotta. Making so many mistakes, I was very concerned about how it would turn out, but decided to try it anyway. It still turned out phenomenal! Everyone loved the shells, so I made it the following week (the correct way), and was a hit again. Thanks for the fail-proof recipe!

Val and Jess's Vegan Avocado Dip

It's wonderful! I made it as is last year, and my guests really enjoyed it. It's a perfect dish to bring to a cookout, as it makes a ton! Definitely try this recipe.

Cheddar Spirals

This is a fantastic recipe! I've tried several macaroni recipes, but my husband and kids haven't liked any of them...they'll only eat the macaroni out of the blue box! I made this version for a party, and everyone loved it, including my family! I've made it 3 times, and each time someone has walked away with the recipe. It's quick, easy, and good to eat!

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

I made this recipe for a Passover Seder. I think it came out just as it was supposed to, and it was very good...tasted exactly like undercooked brownies...but I wouldn't say it was the "end-all, be-all" dessert. I served it with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Would I make it again? Possibly, since it was very easy and fairly inexpensive to make. But, as far as taste goes, I'm still looking for a Passover dessert that has that "Wow" factor.

Cheddar Baked Chicken

I followed the recipe exactly, and even added garlic and additional spices for flavor, but I still wasn't impressed. It tasted much better once I heated up some spaghetti sauce and poured it over my plate of chicken. After all the rave reviews, I was very disappointed.

Asparagus Appetizers

I tried this recipe based on all the wonderful reviews it recieved. Unfortunately, I really don't understand all the hype! LOL I followed this recipe to the "T", and was not pleased with my results. I brought the appetizers to a family dinner, but they weren't a big seller. I tried one myself, and understood why...the blue cheese tasted very overwhelming (maybe I spread too much on?) and the rest was bland, which makes sense because it's only white bread and asparagus. I took other's suggestions as to roll them in sesame seeds, but that didn't save them for me. Sorry, it seemed like a great idea at the time, but I can't agree with the others...I won't be making this appetizer again.

Tater Tot Casserole I

I had a small group of women and their babies over for an afternoon, and was looking for an easy casserole to make. I was a little hesitant to make a tater-tot casserole at just didn't seem "adult" enough. And, my husband is very "anti-casserole"...he doesn't like them in general. But, since the ingredients seemed simple, and it WAS, after all, a Moms group, I decided to try it. They LOVED it. Everyone absolutely RAVED about it! I couldn't believe it...and every person, INCLUDING my husband who snuck into the kitchen for the goodies, went back for seconds! I did use 4 eggs and 3 cups of cheese as others had suggested, and it worked out perfectly. I have already given out the recipe to friends, and will use this recipe often myself!
