Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
Made it for my mom's birthday dinner, everyone loved it...my husband even liked it and he doesn't eat veggies. For a long list of ingredients (I like 4-5 not 13) it was easy to make and turned out great.

Baked Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
Used this for my mom's birthday dinner. I used c. of chicken to tie in the grilled chicken we were having, added some chives into the mix and some cheese to the finished project. Everyone loved it and was impressed. 4* b/c I made changes.

Didn't use the beef broth it asked for and added 3/4c shredded cheddar and turned out just fine.

I also halved the oil and it came out perfect (with a little longer cooking time-50mins). The mother in law loved it.

Only used a cup of water after reading other reviews, it wasn't soggy, but it was REALLY moist. I'll make it again.

I used a marinated pork loin and shook the loin in a plastic bag with the bread crumbs to get them on there.

Boston Cream Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
I had the hardest time with this cake for some reason. I burnt the first two cakes, I undercooked the second two cakes, finally the third two cakes came out right. By then the pudding had set overnight, I had prepared that per the box instructions. The top cake fell apart when I put it on the pudding. The whole cake just seemed very "boxy" tasting to me. I will not try again.

Chicken Pasta II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
Easy enough to make. Radiatore pasta doesn't seem to exsist in my town, so I used Bowtie pasta, which was probably too big of a pasta. But the dish turned out well. I'll probably make it again.

Used 2 (8oz) packages of mac & cheese, 1lb of ground beef, entire package of taco seasoning, 3/4 can of diced tomatoes and 1 cup of cheese. It turned out fine, tasted like mexican hamburger helper but with less salt.

Easy enough to make, but pretty bland...like another reviewer said, it's corn and cornbread. It tasted better as leftovers.
