Carrot Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2014
I doubled the recipe per my boyfriend's request, and I'm highly glad I did. He had one cookie last night, fresh out of the oven and kept sneaking back into the kitchen for more (knowing him for five years, I would say these are now one of his new favs). He and his co-workers are enjoying them today for breakfast, and possibly lunch if they last that long. I added a little bit of pumpkin pie spice since it's fall, after all. Skipped the raisins because my boyfriend doesn't like them. Next time, I won't double the frosting recipe as one batch was enough to frost two batches of cookies. I might also add a little vanilla and cinnamon to the frosting too so that it has a bit more flavor. Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe! (I couldn't get my photo to load in here, sorry.)

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
My boyfriend and I both loved this banana bread. It stayed moist and had a nicely, distinct banana flavor. I also mashed the bananas per the suggestion of other reviewers.

Oatmeal MM Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
The dough was difficult to work with as it wasn't sticking together well and the amount of M&Ms seemed to be too much in comparison to the amount of dough. Also had to make sure the M&Ms were not on the bottom portion of the unbaked cookie or they would burn. The taste was okay, not the typical texture of an oatmeal cookie.

Lemon Pudding Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
Absolutely divine! I made this a few years ago at Easter and came back to this recipe last week. My family loved this when I served it at a BBQ, but after it sat two days in the refridgerator it was even better. Yum factor, five stars.

Mom's Mozzarella Chicken for Drew

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
This chicken was very good. It came out moist, tender, and packed with flavor. I love chicken parmesan but the breading and pasta is a bit too much for my daily diet so it's great to have a healthier option... I served with vegitables instead of spaghetti. I didn't have any fresh garlic so used powdered and it came out fine, I'm sure with fresh garlic it may even be better.

Papa Drexler's Bavarian Pretzels

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
I cooked them on the middle rack for the 8 minutes, just barely a light golden color but not too dark, then brushed the rest of the melted on them before they cooled. These were great and much cheaper than those at the mall, but just as good if not better.

Real Sopapillas

Reviewed: May 4, 2007
These are soo delicious! I made them this morning for the first time for my daughter's pre-k Cinco de Mayo party and they were pretty easy to make. I doubled the recipe and there was no problem in that either. I used a regular, bigger pot with about an inch of oil in it and had it set at just above medium heat on my stove... I just let the oil heat up for 10 minutes before I added the dough. They fluffed up instantly. Then I filled a plastic baggy with cinnamon and sugar and once the sopapillas cooled down just enough so they wouldn't burn the bag, I put them in the bag, shaked it and they got a good coating.

Strawberry Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
My 4 year old liked this but no one else cared for it. I couldn't taste the cream cheese really and it was kind of bland.

Tomato Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
I should have known that since all of the reviews had their own variation of the recipe that it meant this recipe wasn't worth the stars they were giving it. I tried to fix it by using what everone else suggested and it's still not good in my opinion. I have one more idea of my own to go in the kitchen to salvage it, but when you have to stray from a recipe this much just so your family will eat it.. it's not worth it.

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I usually make regular green beans for my holiday meals but figured I would try some thing different and I did not care for this recipe. It seemed like too many onions. They were fine on the top because they were crispy but the ones that were put into the mixture just was over doing it and they were kind of soggy... ugh. Maybe if I tried this again I would continue to stick to using 1/2 cup of milk and just put half the can on top of the casserole and not put any in it.

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Ugh, I made this for Christmas dinner and that will teach me to stray from my grandma's recipe. My grandmother's recipe is 100x better and 100x easier. It did not taste as cheesy as it should have and it was just bland and even cooking the smell didn't please me. Sorry, but I would rather have the stuff in the box than this.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2006
I already have a sugar cookie recipe that I use every year but I like to try new things every once in a while and these cookies were not good at all. I always use recipes based on reviews, I don't know where these reviews are coming from? The dough was dry, the cookies did not look like the picture and I even tried pressing them down, and the taste was dry and bland. I bake a lot and I followed the recipe exactly.

Cocoa Rum Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2006
I love trying new recipes but get scared some times when I do; I suggest you do not hesitate at all to make these!! I made them last night and I know they are suppose to be better three days after but I tried them right away and they are so good. I made them with the intent on giving them away to neighbors but I can't stay away from them so I am making a second batch tonight to give away. Once I have mixed all the ingredients I find it better to work/knead the dough with your hands to make sure every thing is mixed well and evenly. The alcohol does not seem strong to me (I used Malibu Rum), you know it's there but it's not like taking a shot of rum or any thing. Plus I think after day three the alcohol taste gets even less. Bonus is that is does not require too many ingredients and they are easy to make... it's tough finding a recipe that is sooo simple but taste AWESOME!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2006
I always thought meatloaf was so so and I only fixed it on rare occassions til I found this recipe. I doubled all the ingredients and used home made brown sugar instead and everyone loves it. Also, if the milk turns out to be too much for you just add a little extra crackers to soak it up. My husband even compliments this meatloaf and that is rare for him. I sent some over to my neighbors house and he took some over to his friends house and said "You have got to taste this meatloaf!" The leftovers are great on a slice of bread and a little mashed potatoes on top.

Stuffed Mushrooms IV

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
I had so many compliments on these mushrooms that the guests I made these for have requested I make them again and my husband, who is picky, loves them. I used a pound of sausage instead of beef and I added shredded parmesan cheese to the mixture and then sprinkled them with grated parmesan cheese as well.
