Roasted Garlic Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
mmmm creamy and garlicy.. upon the advive of other reviewers, I only used one leek. It was plenty, I think 4 would be way too much, unless my leeks were especially giant. Next time I'm going to use milk or blend cream instead of the whipping cream.

Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Excellent! A really tasty alternative to the 'traditional' breakfast! Followed the recipe to a tee, though we made sure to use hot chorizo. Will definitely make this again and again.

Creamy Parsnip With Ginger Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
A wonderful soup - it has officially become one of our Sienfield 'soup nazi' soups! Because I used more parsnips I upped other ingredients, but I found that I used much more chicken broth than the recipe called for - it was very thick. I used fresh ginger instead of ground and more garlic and cayenne pepper (we love garlicy, spicy food). For garnish, being that we didn't have hazelnuts and cranberries in the house, I sauteed sultanas and walnuts in a touch of butter.. it was fabulous! Thanks for this recipe!

Peppermint Patty Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Excellent - followed the receipe exactly and the result was delicious! Made one batch with York peppermint patties, and one with Reese peanut butter cups(my husband doesn't like chocolate mint!) - both were yummy!

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
Really good, espcially the peanut butter mixture, but I had a really hard time getting the milk chocolate to melt smooth, next time I will use semi-sweet bakers chocolate. I also found them really sweet, almost sickly, I think the chocolate change will improve this problem.

Cooky Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2006
They were really good ( I made variations on the 'additions') but I have to say, far too rich.. there was just too much butter and oil. Though tasty, I won't make them again because of this.

Spicy Pork Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Very good - had to play with the ingredients a little based on what was in my cupboard - I used lemon juice, instead of lime, and sambel oolek instead of fresh chilies. I added mirin to the sauce. I used crushed cashews instead of peanuts. Overall it turned out great and spicy!

French Onion Soup With Browned Garlic

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
very good, very garlicy! (just how we like it!) On other reviewers suggestions, I cut back the amount of onions by half, and I used beef broth for the base.

Orange Cream Cookie Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
These turned out great - crispy and chewy! I followed the other reviewers suggestions and added the extra egg, and I reduced the Tang to 1/3 cup - though I thought they could've been more orangey so next time I'll bring that back to a 1/2 cup. I also think they'd be fantastic with semi-sweet chocolate chips - I'm going to try this as well!

Baked Zucchini Chips

Pretty good, unsure as to whether or not I'll make them again. A little time consuming, and I ended up having to cook them longer than suggested. We dipped them in ranch and enjoyed it.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I also reduced the heat to 400, and used olive oil. I made up my own spice mixture as well. Very yummy alternative to french fries. Will definitely make again!
