About this Cook
Finally sixteen, i've adapted a knack for cooking and baking. Having been baking since I was three [with my dad] and cooking since I was around 10 or eleven, I'm already pretty keen on the usage of spices and can turn out wonderful results with recipes. =]
My favorite things to cook
Hmm... i don't know. I definitely love baking christmas cookies, and have baked the same ones every year since I was little. I also like to cook interesting and ethnic inspired foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies, definitely.
My cooking triumphs
My dad has commented that my best meal ever was a lemon pepper salmon with garlic chicken rice and spinach, but i've never entered any contests or anything.
My cooking tragedies
haha... definitely cakes and soufles... i've done a few of those, and they never rise.

Coffee Gelatin Dessert
with some alterations i made, this recipe reminded me of all the coffee parfaits in hawaii[there's a lot of japanese restaurants here ^-^] instead of 3/4 cups sugar i used 1/2 cup and didn't add the lemon juice. when it was set i cut the gelatin into cubes and drizzled some sweetened condensed milk over the top, then served with some softened vanilla ice cream. yum! also, you could drizzle with chocolate sauce instead of the condensed milk, but condensed milk is so popular in japan so it seems more becoming of the dessert :D
