About this Cook
I'm a super busy, newly wed, twenty something who loves to experiment in the kitchen! I love taking recipes and adding my own twist. I watch the Food Network all the time and am always learning and applying new tips and tricks.
My favorite things to cook
I love Mexican food and my husband loves Chinese so those are both pretty popular staples in our house.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking around Christmas time!!
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered the art of cheesecake. Mmmm.
My cooking tragedies
I followed a recipe, to a T once and I had to leave it in the oven for an HOUR longer than stated (it was pork that never came up to temperature) and after waiting a horribly long time it tasted terrible, there were burnt parts, things on the stove were boiling over, it was not fun. But, I have grown and learned since :)

Candied Sweet Potatoes
Made this for Christmas this year and it was a hit! I made this recipe exactly as is. I would have given it 5 stars except there was WAY too much butter, I literally had to drain it off. Also, my marshmallows never browned, they just melted into everything (I think this is because of the excess butter). Other than that, the taste was wonderful, will make again, just with adjusting the amount of butter!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce
This was DE-LISH! I read reviews before hand and I too used half milk, half cream and half parmesan, half romano cheese. I did not find the cream cheese over powering at all. The texture is great and it reheats wonderfully! This is definitely a keeper in our house!!

Easy Pasta Casserole
I made this recipe tonight and enjoyed it. I did a couple things different though, I added garlic salt to the sauce and fresh minced garlic and onion to the meat. For pasta I used wheat spiral pasta. I also used half the pasta and twice the cheese. Very easy to make and delicious! Thanks for sharing!
