About this Cook
I am married, I work and have three children. I love to cook and try new recipes. I most like to try to emulate recipes I enjoy at restaurants.
My favorite things to cook
Homemade spaghetti sauce with meatballs or barbeque ribs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my husbands favorite comfort foods, like pierogies or curry chicken with dried apricots.
My cooking triumphs
Everybody makes a big deal out of my shrimp garlic pasta recipe. Sometimes I bring dinners to those who are recovering from surgery or who just had a baby. This recipe gets requests because they heard from the grapevine that it is really good.
My cooking tragedies
I made stuffed cabbage with a sauce that was way too thick and sweet. It was kinda gross after eating it for while. Although, my husband still loved it.

Frogmore Stew
My family loved it. I did make the changes as suggested by other reviewers. Specifically adding: crab legs, 1 onion, lemon juice, beer, red pepper flakes, Bay leaf, Garlic cloves, Kosher salt (pinch), and chicken bouillon. Lots of delicious flavor! And lots of fun to eat. And they loved it served with hot sauce.

Tomato Soup I
This soup is excellent. My husband said it was the best soup I ever made and I've made many excellent soups. The only change I made is I don't use margarine so I added real butter. Follow the recipe exactly and you will LOVE it.

Best Spanish Rice
Love this. Taste like exactly what you get at a Mexican restaurant.
