Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Yum. I used three cups of 10x sugar and it worked well. It took a bit to stir and mash the lumps out of the butter and cocoa powder but well worth it.

Honey Nut Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
Great recipe. I did make some changes though. The bake time seemed very short to me and after 20 minutes my granola was still very soft. I baked it for another 30 minutes, stirring every 10. I also added 1/2 cup of wheat germ and about 1/4 cup ground flaxseed. I added cranberries and used whole almonds instead of sliced and also used a Tb of almond extract which gave it great flavor! Yum!!

Scottish Shortbread IV

Very good and VERY buttery. I don't know how anyone got their cookies to be such perfect rectangles but mine turned out somewhat rounded. Any suggestions?

Hawaiian Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
Very tasty. Four stars only because I think there was a lot of excess sauce that wasn't needed. I didn't have any white wine and it still turned out great!

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
This recipe is AMAZING!! Soo Good! I also made a few changes. I couldn't find any asiago cheese so I used gruyere which still turned out wonderful. I think you should also salt and definately pepper the sauce before serving. I also added about a cup of chopped sun dried tomatoes...very similar to Macaroni Grill. Delicious!! I will definately add this to my recipe box!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
I made some changes to this recipe and they still turned out great! I added 1/2 tsp of allspice to the dough, old fashioned oatmeal for added texture, and butterscottch chips. I rolled the dough in sugar before baking because I had no confectioners sugar for the icing and they looked and tasted great! Thanks so much and good luck!

This cheesecake turned out wonderful. I took the advice from some of the others who made this and added a 1/2 tsp of allspice and also doubled the gingersnap crust. It looked great! Thanks and enjoy

Pumpkin Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2007
Pretty good. Make sure you let it cool the full three hours or else it won't set. I added a little more spice than what was suggested but overall it was pretty good.

Molasses Crinkles

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
Great cookie! Soft and chewy just like I like. I added a little allspice to give it an extra kick and they turned out great. I also pressed them down a little instead of leaving them in balls because they dont spread out that much. Thanks!

Chicken Giardino

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
This recipe was a disaster. I was a little wary after reading the reviews but love this dish from olive garden and really wanted to try it. First off I was skeptical of the amount of liquid used in the sauce; it seemed like alot. And when I added the white mix it didn't thicken at all! I ended up with a weird smelling water/wine soup. I don't know what went wrong but I was left with just chicken and vegetables and no edible sauce to be found.

Best Brownies

These were super good. I used up all my cocoa powder in the batter so we didn't have any frosting but I had one hot out of the oven and it was incredible. I think they would be even better with chocoalte chips. Thanks
