Salmon Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
I liked it! I did make some changes though, I used some spiral noodles and egg noodles (just what I had to use up), I didn't have any bread left so I used cheese crackers (like goldfish/cheese-its), and I added a can of cream of mushroom soup. Oh, and I used some frozen mixed veggies instead of the canned peas/carrots because that's what I had, and used two cans of salmon. Otherwise I followed the recipe and it was good!

Honey Roasted Peanuts

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
Admittedly I changed it quite a bit, but it was excellent! I used diabetisweet (sugar substitute) instead of sugar, and sugar free honey. I also used the splenda brown sugar variety, 1/3 cup water, and pecans instead of peanuts. I didn't measure the weight of the nuts, but it may have been as much as 2/3 lb. Very delish!

Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
Very good! Perfect size batch. The only changes I made were 1/4C shortning and 1/4C butter and since I only had XL eggs I used 1 XL egg white. They turned out VERY good! I will definitely make this again. My husband loved them!

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
This turned out excellent! Instead of margarine (since I didn't have any) I used about 1/4C crisco and 1/2C vegetable oil. It was very good! My kids loved it too! I made half of it in a muffin tin and cooked for 20 mins and the other half will be in a loaf pan, I have yet to cook it though, its still in the fridge!

Egg-Free Dairy-Free Nut-Free Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
Delicious recipe! I made them into cupcakes for my son's school since one of his classmates is allergic to eggs. Unfortunately I didn't realize until after I baked them that Tollhouse Chocolate Chips are processed in a plant that also processes peanuts (and its a nut-free school), so I need to make a second batch without those. I guess there's more for us to eat at home!

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Perfection

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Very good! My husband is super picky and even he said it was 5 stars. My 2.5 year old loved it too. Will definitely make it again! Might try a half batch next time though since this made a ton of food. Ended up being more like 12 servings.

Calamari in a Creamy White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Very nice sauce! I didnt have the peppers, so I skipped them, and I switched the basil for green onions. It was still a very nice sauce! I might try it with shrimp next time. I think the peppers sound really yummy, I just didn't have any on hand.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This recipe needs a lot of tweaking! I was trying to find a recipe that tasted like the Tastefully Simple beer bread and this is not it.

Cheesy Beef Macaroni

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
It was good, but I had to change it a little. I omitted the corn and changed the cream of Chicken soup to Cream of Mushroom soup. I also added in some shredded cheddar too. My son loved it and my husband liked it.

Honey Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I used Smokey BBQ sauce instead of honey BBQ and I used Shrimp instead of chicken (I threw it in at the end to let it cook) and it was pretty good! We might try it with meatballs next time but the smokey flavor was good. Might sub out some of the BBQ sauce for more pineapple juice though, it was almost too much BBQ flavor.

Thai Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
Very yummy but not very authentic. I made some extra sauce and used chunky peanut butter instead of creamy and adding nuts. I'll make it again but probably alter it some more.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
Awesome pizza dough! Was a total success at my house. The only changes I made were to sub honey for sugar and sprinkled some garlic and onion powder in too. Will definitely try again! Made a HUGE dough for a pizza though, might make 2 next time instead of one.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
This turned out great! I made them into mini muffins and subbed 1/2c whole wheat flour and added 1/4 tsp vanilla ext and baked for 12 mins and it was perfect. I just ate one hot and steamy from the oven and cant wait to eat another! I would have never known they were low fat! Delicious.

Naan

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
Turned out great! I should have spread out the garlic before trying to knead it in though, oops! I brushed the naan with oil that had chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and a little salt and cooked outside on the grill. I cant wait to eat the leftovers!

Indian Chicken Curry II

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
Smells wonderful and tastes good. Could use some more spices to be more authentic, and the sauce was a little runny. Will definitely try again and tweak some of the ingredients.

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Very good! They tasted a little like an onion bagel in bun form. I think next time I'll let them rise a little longer to make sure they're a little fluffier.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Very good! I scaled it down to just 6 cupcakes so I could cook a small batch in my toaster oven. I think you could also use marshmellow fluff as the cream filling and it would be very good!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
These turned out great! I have the second tray in the oven still but I ate one from the first tray with a little butter and it turned out nice and soft and fluffy. I let the rolls rise for 2 hours instead of one to make sure they werent too dense. I also didnt cut them out with a biscuit cutter, I just cut it into 16 pieces and flattened each piece into a flat round shape. I'll be making these again!

Syrian Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
This recipe turned out great. I used 1 cup of wheat flour since I ran out of white flour and I baked for 4 minutes instead of 5 and they turned out so soft and yummy! I cant wait to serve them to guests!

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: May 13, 2007
Very yummy! I opted out of baking it and put it in a small crock pot designed for dips and it was really good! I think next time I may heat it before putting it in the crock pot since it took a while to heat up that way.
