My friends wedding
i made for my 2008 Thanksgiving
About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 ages are 16,13 & 8. We live in Des Moines, IA with my so of 3yrs. I work at the firestone plant a 6p-6a shift. People use to call me no cook so i decided to prove them wrong & that i did. Now most people love it when i cook something and try new things
My favorite things to cook
anything that is not healthy and full of flavor
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always make a homemade birthday cake for all of my kids birthdays. I also make sure I make a big thanksgiving and Christmas dinner even if it is a few days later.
My cooking triumphs
I was so happy I was able to finally learn how to make a killer fried chicken
My cooking tragedies
When I was around 20 i tried to make homemade cinnamon rolls, OMG that was the worst thing I have ever tasted. I will be trying to make them again soon, now 15yrs later LOL

Better Than Sex Cake II
In have made this cake many many times. There are a few things i do different. First the Heath bars you can find already crunched up in the baking aisles by the choc chips. I put some of the heath bar in my cake so it cooks with it. I made my holes alittle bigger so it goes in the cake & not on the side.

Candied Yams
I followed this recipe exact & it turned out great. I really dont like candied yams but my bf really wanted them for Thanksgiving & I had a bunch of people come over & them loved it. I did use the small marshmallows cause that is all I had.

Tomato Bisque I
So YUMMY and so EASY. I had a Tomato Bisque at a restaurant & loved it so much that I needed to find a recipe to match. This is definitely the taste I was looking for.
