Ronnetta's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
i would give this a 4 plus. my family really liked it. i used jimmy dean's reduced fat sausage instead of the hamburger meat. it couldn't have been an easier dish to whip up. literally minutes. i found it to be a little on the tangy side. maybe i could add some additional seasonings to give a richer taste. you will not be disappointed. really nice for a quick weekday meal.

Strawberry Pie V

Reviewed: May 8, 2007
i know that this could be a five star recipe. i attempted to reduce calories by using splenda and sugar free jello. i do not recommend! somehow the splenda left a bitter aftertaste. next time i will indulge and follow recipe precisely. it is a pretty dessert and simple.

Reviewed: May 7, 2007
this is a great fish dish!!! my husband particularly loved it because of the onions but i think this would be just as good without them. very tasty!!!

this is a really nice cookie. the texture is good and the flavor as well. the recipe yields a ton so i froze many of them.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
yes, this chicken is a moist one at that, but i thought that the taste was lacking and for the amount of butter used,....too many calories for too little taste. i did try to keep calories down by using reduced fat ritz crackers. i have another chicken recipe "go to" that uses only two tablespoons of butter and ends up with a tastier end product. i must say, i was a bit disappointed with this one.

Grilled Sea Bass

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
what a wonderful fish recipe!!! and versatile as well. my local grocery does not carry sea bass often and when it comes in it is usually frozen. i substituted the sea bass for tilapia. it turned out beautifully. i have discovered Reynolds release foil wrap (release non-stick). it goes directly on the grill and cooks beautifully. and no messy grill! i also added a bit more paprika for color. i was very pleased with this fish dish. kept it healthy with brown rice and cauliflower.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
this is a really nice soup. i am giving it a 4 rating because i did tweak a bit to make more flavorful. i added about 1/4 cup of white wine and used fat free half and half to cut down on calories. i like the consistency of this soup. (nice and creamy and thick).

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
warning....do not make if you are looking for a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth...because you will eat way tooo much of this stuff. the beauty of this treat is how quickly it comes together and then wow.....pure delight to the taste buds. i had no trouble with preparing...only trouble is it is way addicting!!! before my husband and i knew it we had polished off the whole bowl. i will definately make again but not often...too fattening and too good.

Seafood Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
these are delectable!!! i found them a cinch to put together and were soooo good!!! very rich. the only substitution that i made was adding campbell's shrimp bisque soup (about 1/2 of can) to sauce mixture. i even used fat free half and half and low fat sour cream to keep calories down. you will love!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
ahhh....nothing like a nice bowl of warm soup on a cold winter's day. this soup is very flavorful. i took another reviewer advice and used bill echols taco seasoning on this site. i also added chicken stock and cut down on the diced tomatoes. try it...you will like it.

Cranberry Waldorf

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
my daughter is always excited about a tasty and healthy dish. this one is just that. i did increase the cinnamon and omitted the celery and it was well received. i did it again and substituted blueberries and cherries for the cranberries. i think any favorite fruit would be great.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
this was a decent rendition of the orange chicken we have all tried but i must say that too labor intensive for the results that i got. somehow the crispiness of the chicken went away after a little time in the oven warming and overall it was okay.

Butter Icing for Cookies

i think this is the nicest icing i have tried!!! it is a bit more labor intensive than most but well worth the extra effort. the flavor is scrumptious and a perfect addition to any cookie you plan to frost.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
this is a very tasty gingerbread. like others, i have found it a bit sticky when rolling out the dough, but well worth the work. i use the butter frosting recipe on this site that you cook over the stovetop for a wonderful icing on the cookie. mmm.mmm.mmm.
