Creamy Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
I have been making this recipe for years. I think some of these people should re-read the recipe. It does not say to melt the butter ~ just make sure it is at room temp. And I also suggest that the milk and flour mixture be pretty cool before adding to creamed mixture. Try it again you will love it. PS try using a tsp. of almond extract when frosting a chocolate cake. Its delicious.

White Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
I have used this recipe for years. I have never refrigerated it and it last as long as the cake. AND IT NEVER HARDENS. If you follow the recipe exactly Betty Crocker will go bankrupt.

Miracle Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
I have never cooked a lasagna noodle in my life ~ as long as you make sure you have plenty of sauce your lasagna will come out perfect. The key is to start with sauce on the bottom. As far as this recipe goes ~~~ I have had much better

Kale Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I have been making this soup for years. It is very good. But if you want extra flavor go to the local grocery store and find Lipton cup of green pea soup (it is a dry package soup) This makes the base of the soup rich and creamy.

Cream Cheese Cookies I

There is not a single thing I would do to change this recipe except maybe double it. I have been baking for 45 years and I will put this recipe into my favorites for Christmas.

Tried this recipe and loved it. The only thing I did different was make a crust from ritz crackers and butter. And reserved some to sprinkle on top before baking. Excellent

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
DELICIOUS The only thing I did different is what my Mother always did. Before I rub the meat with the seasonings I rub the entire piece of meat with gravy master or kitchen boquet it seals in the juices and makes a really nice gravy then I put the meat on a rack instead of sitting it directly on the bottom of the pan. I also mixed one package of dry onion soup with a 15 oz. can of beef broth and poured it into the bottom of the pan~ I kept an eye on this to make sure it does not dry out.If so add a small amount of water. I will always use this recipe it was awesome. Thank you

I love this recipe. I cooked it in a pan on the grill ~ it was delicious. The only change I made was I used Chicken Stock in place of the water.

Christmas Casserole Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
I personally did not care for these at all. The only reason I gave them two stars is because my husband liked them (but he will eat anything) I feel as though I wasted a lot of expensive ingredients. I will not do this again.

Baked Seafood Au Gratin

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
This recipe was very good. After reading the reviews I decided to make some changes ~ Instead of boiling the shrimp, fish, and scallops in water I used 3 cans chicken broth 3/4 cup dry white wine and seasoned liquid with with Old Bay and lemon pepper seasoning. I also cut the milk back to 2 cups. For color presentation I used red peppers and orange sharp cheddar cheese. The reviews were very helpful. This recipe was excellent. PS. also reheats very nicely in microwave.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I tried this recipe and thought it was really good. But after reading the reviews I think I must add that when buying a corned beef the flat cut is a better quality than a point cut. This makes all the difference. Plus keep the foil on while baking. TRY NOT TO PEEK you lose all of the heat and steam with is what makes it tender. Also always cut a corned beef on a diagonal angle.

Spicy Honey Mustard Pork Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
The flavor was there, but let me give you some advice and line your baking dish with foil. The sauce will ruin the dish.

Go no further! The only thing I did different besides sweat the eggplant is I oven fried it at 425 for 10 minutes on each side (we like it a little more crispy) This is delicious ~ even if you don't like eggplant! Thanks for sharing
