E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Yum! I want so badly to make good homemade biscuits and I haven't had luck with the rolled ones. I think this is my go to recipe now. Maybe a tad too sweet, so will reduce sugar next time. Can't wait to try them with cheese and garlic! Oh and i left out the cream of tartar per other reviewers.

Chocolate Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Loved it! I did melt an oz of baking chocolate, increased milk a touch for spreadibility and threw in some extra cocoa powder. I licked my food processor clean! Well, except for the blade, but i did use my finger on that. Frosting held up nicely and was great the next day.

Cheesy Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
was good, but nothing i would crave. I did leave out the butter, because i just couldn't see using it with sour cream. I also cut the chicken into strips and did it the oven. My 3 1/2 yr old really enjoyed it though and asked for seconds.

Miss Betty's Super Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
Easy and quick. I would like to try with jam in the middle like one reviewer did. If you are looking for "rolls" keep looking, if you want a quick bread to go with some comfort food then this is it. Will make again!

Lamb and Winter Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
Tasty and filling. Did in crockpot. Forgot to add butternut but i roasted it and threw it in later. The parsnips and squash were so good with lamb. I thought the sour cream would be strange but it was really good. I added some curry powder out of personal preference.

Very easy and tasty. Four stars b/c i doubled the oats, added cinnamon, vanilla, and a titch of salt. Did not change the butter, oil sugar or honey. Had the oven heating while cooking, spread on cookie sheet and put in oven then turned it off and left it. Turned out crisp and toasty. nibbled all day!

Everybody had seconds and hubby had thirds. Forgot to put the beans in but did add green beans, peas and corn.Anything to get veg into my 2 yr old. Will definitely make again. Very comforting stew.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2006
It was good, but hamburger is hamburger. The gravy was delicious. I used fresh 'shrooms and substituted a can of beefy mushroom for one cup of milk. I did not add any salt to recipe b/c i did use the canned soup and it was plenty unless you are a saltaholic. Served over rice and my 2 year old loved it. Will make again, but maybe next time try beef tips.

This soup is tasty! Did not alter a thing. I think brooklywriter got confused though because nothing in the recipe calls for throwing veggies away.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
this recipe is awesome. i haven't made a casserole with a can of anything since i discovered this. Very versatile too. Use any veggies on hand that need to be used up. I like to add some garlic cheese powder to the breadcrumbs to give it umph.A keeper. I have also used this base for a green bean casserole, minus noodles, and it was tasty.
