To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
These were awesome! I ALWAYS screw up baked goods but I followed the recipe to a T and they came out moist and just perfect. My one suggestion goes along with what others said...I used half brown sugar half white for the topping and packed it on as much as possible. Seriously you will love these.

Baked Spaghetti II

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
This was great! I did add spices (sugar, garlic powder, basil, oregano, old bay, cayenne, black pepper). I also used red bell pepper instead to give it a sweet flavor and my own spaghetti sauce in place of the water it calls for (I would highly recommend this). I am a veg, so I left out the meat. Overall, it came out Fabulous and made enough for many leftovers. Thanks a million for sharing!!

Baked Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
I'm giving this great recipe 5 stars, but I made it slightly differently. No bacon. I made caramelized onions, which tasted excellent in the dish so I recommend it for sure. The cheese sauce which is made from a roux needs to be modified. Once you have melted the butter, added the flour and then milk, you need to simmer the mixture over low heat for about 8-10 minutes & stir occasionally making sure it does not burn. This is to cook down the flour and make a nice paste. Then add the cheese, and some nutmeg always adds that extra perfect touch to cheese sauce. I also added some garlic powder and cayanne. I love this recipe and next time I will throw in some stewed tomatoes as well. Thank you for sharing!!

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
WOW!! This was so easy to make I can't beleive I am going to have homemade apple butter in my fride whenever I want!! I cut the sugar to 3 cups, added extra spices and cooked it a lot longer than suggested. About 12 hours with lid on & 6 hours with lid off. Came out so delicious. Thank you so much for this!

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
Made this for a fantasy football draft party. The men LOVED it even though it has no meat. Imagine that! The flavors are perfect together, next time I will add a bit more jalepeno for an extra kick. Would also make a great addition to skirt steak tacos (next time).

Vegetarian Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
Very good soup! I added black beans, too. Also added some jalapenos and lots of additional spices (onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder & cayenne). Followed the other ratings & added cilantro as well. Topped with sliced avocado as well as the cheese & chips. The end result was WOW!

Greek Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
After all the rave reviews here, I made this last night. I did some thing differently: Calamata Olives (sub for black olives), sun dried tomatoes, strawberry tomatoes halved (so sweet and good), 1 bulb roasted garlic, no mushrooms or green onions. I also roasted red and yellow peppers and added them in. Instead of the dressing here, I made the "Absolutely Fabulous Dressing" on this site. It turned out so darn good, even my chef boyfriend loved it. Lots of people noted leaving out the pepperoni, I advise against that unless you are serving vegetarians. It really adds a good kick to it. LOVED IT!!! Thanks so much.

Crab Quiche II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
This is a MUST!! I took the advise of others and used sour cream instead of mayo, an extra egg, extra pepper for spice, and I carmalized onions to add. I made it for Thanksgiving brunch and it was gone before I could even get a slice! My restaurant-owner family friend raved about it!! USE REAL CRAB!
