Harvest Pumpkin Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
I made these and topped them with a white depression era (not as sweet as buttercream) and they were incredible!!! Many friends told me these were the best cupcakes they had EVER had. I didn't have the spices listed so I substituted 2 tsp cinnamon and they still came out wonderful! Definitely a keeper!!!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IX

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
I made these oatmeal cookies for Christmas and I am very dissapointed. I followed the recipe exactly- double and triple checked following the recipe and even read over each and every ingredient with my husband to make sure. The cookie dough did not bind together. I had to roll it into balls as best I could and smash them onto the cookie sheet so it would hold together. When they were finished baking they fell apart when transfering to the serving platter even with the gentlest touch. They tasted good but they really didnt look very good either. They were mounded looking and not very appetizing as far as looks were concerned. I will not make these again.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
This is a great recipe. I prefer oil as I think it gives it a better texture. I bake it in a small cake pan which is quicker and if I double the recipe I make it in a 13 by 9 cake pan to serve a larger group. Thanks for sharing!

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
Funny me- I did not read this recipe since I supposed I knew what I was doing- I mixed EVERYTHING together including the cake mix and had to bake it quite longer till a toothpick inserted came out clean which was about an hour. I didn't realize my mistake until I came back to rate it today! It didn't look too pretty- but was great that night when i served it at room temperature topped with whipped cream. It was very dense and moist. What I liked about it was that you can serve so many more people with this dessert in a13 by 9 pan then you can with an ordinary pie that serves 8 -I usually serve very large pieces of my desserts. This recipe could serve 16 since it was so dense and heavy. I refrigerated it that night and it wasn't as good in the morning as the first day, but I would definitely make it again.
